I didn't this was the worst performance. She has a lovely tone and her elimination came prematurely.

Yes, I will miss Didi. Her voice is very soft and sweet. I don't think she was ever "pitchy." (...........Why doesn't Randy just say, "You were 'off-key' tonight, Dawg"?) But Didi could go far with some more practice or training. Loved her!!

I hated seeing Didi go either. I really wanted her to win. It pretty much proves how Idol is rigged. It's either they have other plans for underrated Didi or they simply need contestants that can keep the show running.

Too bad I couldn't vote. I've never heard a voice like hers. I really like it. She didn't have to scream, look cute, have such a large fan base, etc. I'm really sad because she's gone.

I'd still follow up on her, even after Idol. Idol doesn't have the final word on how far she'll go.

Didi didn't do too well but she was still much better than others. R&B isn't her forte so she actually did very well. I wished she had done something from Rickie Lee Jones.

There seems to be an overwhelming love for Crystal but she has actually been very average for a few weeks.

Lots of the singer/songwriter type artistes have lost their way cos' of the over-production on the arrangement side of things. All the arrangements are huge. Didi would have done loads better with simpler arrangements to allow her voice to stand out more. She has an incredibly angelic voice. So very sad to see her go.

Andrew is a waste of space and should have gone weeks ago. Siobhan is getting very irritating with her screaming. Crystal has done nothing to win this competition.

The only consistently good performer has been Aaron. Lee is pretty good too.

What folks like Didi have to do in the future is to know themselves better and to re-arrange songs to suit their style.

Didi Benami has lots of fans. It'll be great if she works on an album soon.

Didi is super underrated whats with the judges i mean her performance was dramatic, captivating, emotional, she give her heart in the song plus she hit the notes oh men. but i still love didi so so so much pls vote for her..

i thought it was good that she chose a song that she connected with emotionally (isn't that what the judges keep saying they wanted, what is their problem?) rather than something she knows will garner their praise. and you know what, screw you judges, stop picking on her week after week. what happens after she takes out her guitar? you know you're gonna say it's becoming boring. she's trying to show different sides to her. and i thought in post adam lambert era of Idol, being "dramatic" isn't wrong. so why isn't didi allowed to do it? just because she doesn't come from theatre?

the judges are just trying to throw didi under the bus any chance they get, just like they did with kris last season. ice for lunch won last year simon, so get ready to swim in jelly this year.

What the hell was that? I'm a fan, but between the perfunctory tearful breakdown and the BAD song choice, I really didn't feel her this week. I agree with the song choices suggested by Jane (comment 28). Didi might make bottom 3, but I doubt she's going home, fingers and toes crossed, knock on wood ...

I think it's clear that the judges want someone tweens would likely go for, a cutie or another Miley. It's given they want Crystal to win, but of course, they'd also want to get bankable ones for Idol to last a few more seasons. I don't like the sound of that. The judges' credibility is doomed.

She should made the song a little fast and upbeat in the middle part like the Westlife version coz the judges thought she's old fashioned and broadway.

I think american idol is about expressing yourself and Didi definitely expressed herself well tonight.. She absolutely did great! What the freakin' hell is wrong with the judges?!

I'm here again, listening to her. I really love the sweet and slow verse at the beginning. I think her voice suits that part well. So chilling and soothing! Love it!

urgh. im a fan of didi but i cant deny the whole thing sounds offtune to me. There's some jazz overtones, but its just WRONG

she doesn't know how to pick songs. she could have done "sittin on the dock of a bay" or a slow version of "will you still love me tomorrow" and that would have suited her voice really well.

Didi has an interesting voice, I think, but what is hard for me to grasp is how she can be so outwardly emotional at times and yet seem disconnected while she's performing. There has to be some better balance she can strike of connecting with the song without breaking down.

This was really bad song choice for Didi so I must... listen again, again and again till this audio breaks down.

i generally like didi a lot. but it was very pitchy. terrible song choice. i don't think it was dramatic, or over the top like the judges were saying, it just was a boring song and she didn't add any life to it. but the judges really love to hate on her, and i'm not too sure what they want from her. i've said it from the top 24...the judging is really whack this year.

What the?! I think she did well, honestly, I'm surprised! I was amazed by her "DIVA-ish" performance. With that performance, I'm loving her more.

Ryan is acting like a complete azzwhole this year.

I'm pissed at Ryan for not letting go of her hand at the end! What a jack&$$. Seriously, watch it over and over she tried to pull away from him over 10 times and he kept making her uncomfortable. If she came out with a sexual harrasment suit against him, i'd believe it.

I think Usher gave her awful advice. What the judges hated about the performance was that it was over the top, and Usher told her to make it super dramatic. It was very unfortunate, because a song like that can be more effective when it's under-stated.

Having said that, I think that - while Didi's voice has a lovely tone - she just hits too many off notes for this level. She needs to take a lot of serious singing lessons.

For the second week in a row the judges were a little harsh on her.

This is definitely not her genre. She doesn't have a sense of rhythm when she sings. It was a little like watching Al Gore dance.

It's such a great song. She's a sweet, appealing person. But it just didn't work.

I only listened to the MP3 also and thought she did great.

What's wrong with the judges? I think they are definetly trying to hurt her, maybe they dont want her to take the lead or something because that was great. Last week they also said bad things and for me it was also amazing. Go Didi!

It was so amateurish. The intensity of her performance can be represented in a graph by a straight horizontal line. Nothing is happening. I was not even moved by her claim that she chose the song for some personal reasons. She did not give justice to the song. She just belted and belted till the end, acting as if drowning in the melodrama of her life story.

I think she's still SHE. Bad thing is that this theme week is not her strength.

I thought it was great. The judges were rough on her. They want her to be a singer/songwriter...well pick a genre that gives her room and more liberty to show what kind of artist she wants to be. I think it's unfair to rip her like that when this isn't the style of music she sings.

Agreed Rickey, she did do great. The judges just rag on her so much... I mean, this song is meaningful, and she brought a lot of emotion to it, and I thought it was sweet.

I thought she was GREAT.
