Didi Benami – Rhiannon – Video MP3 American Idol Top 16 Performance

Im really sad to see Didi go. No offense to that other dude, but he is only there for his looks. Didi was one of my favorites. I am thinking about not watching idol again if that dude wins like Kris Allan did.

I think that Didi has an amazing voice, you feel that it has a character of its own, and the tone oh man its great. Her voice is soothing and very pleasing, besides the singing she is a beautiful woman, and I wish her best in life. I don t think American Idol will decide her future in music, if the votes don't work after all its not a singers show. Good luck to her and hope she's happy.

Finally! The judges were nice for once to Didi. Her other two songs were not that bad! Were they waiting for this kind of moment to make us back her as an underdog? Whatever works. KEEP BEING NICE!

She won me over tonight! I thought this performance was really special and I am now scouring the internet for some kind of acoustic cover of rhiannon to substitute till she makes this into a single!

I thought that was a beautiful interpretation of that Fleetwood Mac song (I would pay to hear that again!). Honestly, I love a couple of the other contestants (Bowersox of course) but that is really the only song that seduced me last night. Her enunciation of the lyrics was heartfelt and beautiful. I hope she goes through.

She , Lacey and Lilly all have the same " vibe" going on - if I were just listening and you tole me it was one of the other two , I would have believed it . They are all pretty god but I would not rush out to buy a CD from any one of them . But Didi is cute and sweet and seems to have a fanbse - pretty similar to Brooke White who was " bleh - big deal " . They are all too similar - Crystal and Siobhan stand out as better singers , but for my money, Crystal is the very best femal singer I have seen on American Idol - I totally love that girl .

She did it! Something about Didi keeps me rooting for her. If she makes it to the top 12 I think she has a pretty good shot at staying around to the top 7 or 8.

That acoustic "meow" thing is all she can do. But nice phrasing and bringing out the song's lyrics and meaning. Original stylings and pleasant...BUT much weaker vocal talent than Lilly, Paige, and Siobhan. A bit like muzak???

It wasn't that amazing but it's definitely good enough.

Random Question: Do they pump in artificial applause for the contestants? There was some kind of noise before the crowd actually started physically applauding that didn't sound real.

The problem with these girls is that they can sing -- like folksy indie singers. They don't have "popular" singer pipes....who's going to write for them?

Crystal is fabulous, but this is the only song clip that I went back to rewatch. Didi's voice is beautiful and unique, just love it.

Another over-praised contestant. Approximately 4 girls sing exactly the same way and it is a borefest. If they were 3 "divas" as you guys call all black singers everyone would be complaining. Crystal is so way ahead of everybody else it's ridiculous she is the truth. I only watch the show for her and Andrew Garcia. But I am about to find better things to do with my time if I hear these slow suicide letter ballads back-to-back-to-back. I mean that is the only type of song they can do. Lacey tries Landslide=Disaster, Lily tries Sam Cooke- overpraised disaster, Didi tries Bill Withers- trainwreck, Katelyn tries Carole King= wack. No variety, just crap

i wasn't the biggest fan of hers but shes grown on me , i can see her on the radio and top of the itunes charts way more than some one like soibhon.

Chessguy... Time will tell. Maybe she will be strong enough to TURN A SONG into her style. I'm not sure, but I like Didi. Top 4 girl, for me.

I can UNDERSTAND the comments about her being nice and nothing more. However, at this stage. 6 out of the 8 make it, and she was better than 4 others.

It was very good, a duplicate of her Terrified performance. And that's her problem, she can only do that type of song. Themes are going to eat her up.

that was most definitely her best performance. i really liked her on that song, and she performed it well, made a connection with it and sang it beautifully. she and lacey both have a similar diction with the way they sing, the difference is that didi actually has some vocal power to give it some substance.
