Do you guys think he legit has a shot at the wild card? I am worried about the whole "the producers made him sing IWITW" and all of that. Plus, on his facebook, people comment to him that they want to see him again for the wild card and he "likes" those comments. But correct me if I'm wrong, hasn't the wild card and even battle rounds been filmed already, so if Dez was back, wouldn't something have gotten out?
:(
I really hope he comes back but I am trying to soften the blow I feel is coming when he doesn't.
What gun?
Are we talking about guns as in "gun show" (biceps) or are we talking about gun as in "is that a gun or you just happy to see me?"....
I haven't located any gun photos but this one is just fine for me. LOL.

FrankyN I approve! Until we can find that picture of his pistol...
Mikhail XO Two more (the second might have a little bit of a pistol on display quality) ...

aquayersMikhail XO Oh yeah, I have seen that one for sure. So you were indeed talking about guns as in biceps lol. You have to excuse me because my dirty mind was heading elsewhere :P That's why I posted that second pic up there.
FrankyNMikhail XO yeah,I mean guns as biceps. Sorry,English is not my main language. LOL. I saw some people use that word so I used it. :p
Is it just me or anyone else notice his arms?? Btw to be honest, that Sara Smile rendition is very good. Way better than his performance on The Voice. I didn't know his voice has higher range.
aquayers Arms look mighty fine, as I assume the rest of his body parts do as well... ;)
RickeyMikhail XO have you seen one of his pic on his facebook page?? His gun is even more apparent. I'm dead. LOL
aquayersRickey gun? I am assuming you mean to say 'guns' as in upper arms: biceps. Or do you mean gun as in pistol...in which case, I am running over r now to his facebook page to check THAT out!
RickeyMikhail XO I mean the biceps. Haha sorry.
after all the buzz around him all i can say its that he auditioned for the wrong show, i honestly belive he would of got a shot of a decent career being on idol or the x-factor.. oh well..
You know Rickey, no matter what you say or do for this kid, he is NEVER going to let you get it in and you are never going to get it in with him either. So, you should probably stop being so desperate.
Rickey No, if I was a hater, I wouldn't like the guy and hope he returns for a second chance. But I am living with my feet on the ground and not on the moon so I fully realize that all you are doing is showing a very lame and desperate attempt to get the attention of a good looking guy who wouldn't give you the time of the day.
Rickey ETA: And when will "hater" quit being the be and and end all go to response for being who have nothing else to say. Not everyone who disagrees with someone or everyone who says something that is different from you is automatically a "hater." We have become so numb to intelligent responses.
CallieNatalia Dez thanked me the other day on Twitter.
I blog to make money you idiot not to "get it in". Not everyone thinks like you.
Rickey LOL. I'm sure he did thank you. He seems like a very respectable young man. But be sure, he knows you want to jump his bones above all else. And if you really think anyone believes that you are championing his talent first, well... *giggles*
CallieNatalia LOL! You're still a hater.
Dez is the second most popular person this week on the blog and the most popular contestant on The Voice this week (on the blog).
You must be a new reader. Everyone knows I support cute above everything else.
RickeyCallieNatalia I know I do and I freely admit it.
Rickey LMAO! This is why I can't take your blog seriously in the slightest.
A. The "hater" comeback is so old and from someone who is blogger, I honestly expect more of a response. "You just da hater of all haters" is something I expect to see from a teen on a CW message board.
B. You support cute above everything else. Alright, at least now I can take things you say with a grain of salt in the future. Come to think of it, you do realize this specific show you champion so hard while knocking American Idol is ALL about talent above looks, yet you have found a "pin-up" boy for the site based on looks. Odd way of thinking considering the premise of the show you love.
CallieNatalia You're a hater because you are. It was the appropriate response.
As Mikhail said, there is nothing wrong with supporting someone who is cute.
But more importantly, I like people based on my own terms not what anybody on a reality show says. Just because a judge or coach says someone is talented doesn't mean they are. But I can see cute when I see it. And when my readers see someone they like (for any reason) I acknowledge that as well.
I'm really good at what I do Callie.
Rickey Actually, being cute and/or being talented are both totally subjective. What one person enjoys listening to, another could consider it nails on a chalkboard. And same goes for looks. But that's another topic entirely.
You are good at what you do. But it wasn't until this week that I realize what it is you are good at. What at one time I considered a respectable and informative blog has turned into an over the top mess. Between this topic and the bashing of Idol, I see the type of blogging you have decided to lower yourself too. And hey, if it gets you more page views, comments, etc... more power to you. I guess I just prefer something a bit more grounded in reality.
Carry on though! And nope, still not a hater. But definitely over this topic as I have said everything I needed to.
CallieNatalia Wow, change of tone.
Well, I mostly post about pop culture and of course reality TV stuff and the "reality" is... why should I take this seriously. I think a lot of the blog readers out there realize how "ridiculous" it is to go batshit over someone singing on a TV show for a couple of months in the year. But we do it anyway -- and we're not crazy. I've met a lot of fans from American Idol for example who are normal people -- and yet if you read some of the stuff they've written about the people they like on the Web, you'd think they were nuts.
So yes, over-the-top because that's what I'm known for: be the best superfan you can be! But I'm really just a normal guy whose managed to make sense out of all this madness that goes on on the Internet.
Sorry I called you a hater.
Dez for Wild Card!
CallieNataliaRickey Wow. That's a bold statement. Nobody wants to see only unattractive people sing all night. That's why these shows are on TV, not the radio. Then looks wouldn't really matter, would they. Obviously, you haven't been following Rickey very long because he is one of Idol's biggest supporters. No need to get personal.
AprilJRickey Wait, wait, this I must respond to. Rickey is one of Idol's biggest supporters? Where? All I have seen over the last two weeks is Idol bashing and Voice propping. I'm not at all seeing Idol support.
CallieNataliaAprilJ Please name someone last week in the auditions that I should be going nuts over, and then we can talk. When the time comes, someone on Idol will get some sort of Dez treatment -- but FOX hasn't aired anything yet. Maybe tonight!
Obviously, you have not read the type of bashing other so-called Idol bloggers have done to American Idol in the past! They are scum, seriously. When they were trying to burn idol to the ground a couple of years ago, I was literally the only person supporting the show -- in discussion panels, everywhere. It's bringing tears to my eyes now thinking about what I've done for this show, and how you perceive me right now. I have supported Idol for years, and continue to support it. But I can also be passionate about other shows. Open your mind.
CallieNataliaAprilJRickey Are you kidding? Rickey is the most benign of the bloggers I follow and the biggest Idol supporter, sometimes to his own detriment. It drives me nuts, actually. If he mentions something that sucked or a poor show or a fuck up that occurred...that's not bashing. When you love a show it may annoy or even enrage you when it doesn't live up to what it has been in the past. The passive followers don't give a shit. I am one of Idol's biggest critics...Rickey? Not so much. At first i took your criticisms seriously, but now, quite frankly, I think you are a disillusioned fantard with an agenda.
Not sure I conveyed myself properly in the above^ comment. I meant to say that I am highly critical of Idol this season (last season to) as a blog follower. And that imo, Rickey is very enthusiastic about the show still. My above comment was poorly worded in spots.
CallieNataliaAprilJRickey
Rickey has been posting Idol performances since the beginning of AI - long before the other shows came along. In the first seasons of Idol, Rickey was the ONLY blogger that would showcase all the performances. Because of that, he is partly responsible for AI's HUGE international fan base. Lived overseas for 8 years... I can vouch that he was the only AI blogger to post Idol performances for several years. So don't hate. Rickey has done his part to share the Idol love.
Mikhail XOAprilJRickey You can think what you want and have as many "likes" by supporters as you will but it doesn't change what I see.
A disillusioned fantard with an agenda? No. And the condescending replies you give in not only this "thread" but the other I posted in (Nigel's conference call) is enough to make me not at all interested in talking to you. If we can't discuss things rationally, agreeing to disagree even if we have such a difference of opinion, I would rather not go forward. No sense in posting a response to you if it will elicit a nasty response with name calling. That's not mature.
And Rickey, I appreciate all you have done for Idol in the past (surely, it hasn't gone unnoticed by the people who follow you) but I just think you are taking the anti-Idol stance this season a bit too far. I took a gander at your twitter. You re-tweeting a post from Vote For The Worst about failing ratings, tweeting Nigel that he ended the program wrong when you were first upset thinking the whole show would be people fainting and it only lasted one minute while the rest of the hour had performances up the wazoo. I mean, come on. You say you support the show but it seems you take pleasure in bringing ratings news (Voice reigns supreme, Idol is not number one) and other comments that are geared toward bringing the show down.
And I don't quite get the purpose of it. Perhaps you are just excited about being on The Voice train and want to be as over the top about it as possible but I am NOT alone in feeling as though you have turned on Idol. If I was alone, I would shut up and just refrain from posting. But I am not the only person who follows this blog who feels that way.
CallieNataliaMikhail XOAprilJ I'm just reporting ratings AS THEY ARE.
And I am going back to my earlier comment to you: I blog to make a living. If one, two, three, four, etc shows that I cover are doing great -- then it is obviously better for me.
So you didn't think that the girl fainting cliffhanger was a cheap shot to get people to watch tomorrow? After promoting it every commercial break? I think you need to re-asses who's grounded in reality.
Rickey But you made it seem as though the entire hour would be people fainting and everything. And in reality, as you put it, it took up all of sixty seconds. The rest of the hour was chock full of performances. So, the show wasn't as "cheap in promoting fainting" as you thought a few days ago.
And that's the other thing I find a bit hypocritical. A few seasons back (even last seasn), an ending like that would have made you excited to see the next show. All of a sudden you find issue with Idol's editing? Since when? When were you in past Hollywood weeks when the groups would have drama and we didn't get to see many performances because Nigel concentrated constantly on the bickering and who is going to be in who's group. I don't quite remember you ragging on the show for the selective editing they did then. So I'm not sure why it has become such an issue for you now.
CallieNataliaAprilJRickey I guess I missed your attempt at rational discourse anywhere on this thread, Callie. But please feel free to point it out to me. Then I will apologize.
CallieNatalia It's just a tweet.
I complained about the fainting earlier (and followed it up) because I was trying to write some other analysis of the situation (ratings, etc.) when all Nigel wants to happen is for everyone to tune in to tonight's show because something interesting (the faint) will happen. I'm actually attempting to be more thoughtful here (see your earlier comment) -- and now you are criticizing me for it ONLY BECAUSE it is not favorable to the show.
Heejun was great today! But obviously you missed me raving about that because you were too busy trying to spot the negatives.
Open your mind.
Mikhail XO Seriously? Each response I make is long and with points to discuss. I'm not personally attacking you or being condescending with you at all. But you are in return. Each response you have given me has an underlying tone where you are being nasty as opposed to just healthy back and forth talk. But that's fine. I know better than to engage if it is going to get ugly. I have no need for that. It doesn't benefit anyone.
Rickey Alright, I'll stop. I am obviously fighting a losing battle and one that is ridiculous to fight anyways. I came to post and give my opinion that the Rickey of 2012 has turned sour on Idol and gives it shots as often as he can. I see it on the blog and on twitter. And I'm not alone. But if no one else is saying it to you, I am certainly not going to be a thorn in your side and bother you with it. I wish you well in continuing the blog (would never think otherwise) and you do what you want as you wish.
CallieNatalia If you really need me to spell it out for you: 2012 is the year that fans went to Rickey.org and talked and read about The Voice and American Idol and The X Factor with equal intensity. Instead of the David vs. David fan wars, we now have competition between shows between the singers on the shows. It is so much bigger in scope than before. My readers get it. Sorry that obvious point escapes you.
CallieNatalia Okay...start with your very first comment here on this thread (right at the top)...your first comment on this blog. Kindly explain how that is "long and with points to discuss." and how that is not "personally attacking." Now start with my very first comment on here to you (below), kindly explain how that contains an "underlying tone" where I was being "nasty." I don't see it, Callie. You started off as Nasty on this thread. My first comment was not nasty in the least.
Rickey It doesn't escape me Rickey. I see the discussion that is based on competition between shows and singers on those shows. I see those posts and those discussions. I also see something else, quite different from the past that specifically pertains to how one show is treated as opposed to the other two. And that obvious point doesn't escape me either. But like I said, go forward and I wish you all the best.
CallieNatalia If I really hated Idol, I would stop writing about it and deny everyone information and build my traffic in some other way.
And it's really not my fault if the people who comment on the blog recently have been pro-The Voice. Were you here when the pro-Idol people were bashing The X Factor relentlessly just a few months ago? Where are they now? Defend your show if you want to. But I'm not going to personally fend off every single person criticizing Idol over here. I've defended Idol for years, my readers know where I stand. And it's fans like you who are actually turning on me? Whatev.
Dez for Wild Card dammit!
RickeyCallieNatalia Yes! Dez for wildcard! Heejun for top 12 (13)!
AprilJCallieNataliaRickey
CallieNatalia Then I suppose that leaves no chance for me either...damn!
For the record, I think he might like bois though .just sayin'
CallieNatalia And callie...there is nothing wrong with liking the cute contestant...women (tweens and cougars and in-between) do it all of the time with the cute guy (just look at some past Idol contestants), so if Dez is smart, he will be happy for any and all fans, especially when they can get his name out there.

I'm holding out for Chris Cauley..I saw him a few years ago and he is amazing... he's not been on yet but he will get picked and I think he will be a favorite. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xeIcFsf7if0
