David Cook – The Last Goodbye – MP3 Listen

I love Cook , and will buy anything he release. I have loved everything he has released. But this song not a favorite. I hope it does well . Because he does deserve it ,and more. I'm very much looking forward to his new album. I heard part of a new song from his album called Rapid Eye Movement ,and I loved it. So I know there will be many songs on it I will love. So don't judge his new album by this one song. I think The Last Goodbye is a ok song ,and with the music video should help.

Sorry, very generic take here. Who hasn't done D Major, to B Minor to G Major? Then Resolve to an A Major 4th. Not terrible but not great. I am now seeing why it took him over a year to produce drivel, maybe it's all he's got.

Shame, since I really do like him but his last album lacked Chutzpah and this first attempt here at a hook was the old cliche. I mean did it really take him that long to "write" a two second old hook that has been around since rock began?

Selling out with the Kings of Leon-like “oooohs?” Are you serious? I love DC, but suggesting that an AMERICAN IDOL WINNER is selling out by sounding like an alternative band that was pretty obscure and put out 3 records before they ever hit it big is completely asinine!

The song has been released on I-tunes and Amazon. Also, Amazon has a CD/DVD combo for presale. FYI: They are streaming his new song on DCO right now, too. I can't wait to see him perform this on Idol Thursday night on Idol!

I'm disappointed to be honest. I loved Cook on Idol. But I hate to say it, his cover songs are ten times better than his own material. I was unhappy with DCTR and only liked 2 songs on it ok. This album is not impressing me by the first single. I wish post-idol Dave was as good as Idol Dave.

Hope Cook likes to play The Last Goodbye because he has a definite hit on his hands.

Some clown was yellin at me on here cuz i said it was lame after 30 secs. Said i couldnt base it after a 30 second clip, I hafta agree with them now i was wrong-ITS WORSE THAN LAME. This is worse than everything on the 1st album including light on which i always skip.

This is a 1st Single? R the ppl that picked Archuletas singles picking Cooks too? There wasnt much positive feedback from the 30 sec clip, i dont expect much from this either. I fully expect a NEW new single to be selected very soon.

All his songs sounds the same and the label always picks the worst songs to release as the singles! I didn't really love this song either; I thought it was pretty bland and the ending totally sounded like 'Kings of Leon.' But, with all that being said...I love him and he's super talented...so I hope he does well.

I'm not usually fond of the songs they seem to pick out to be the singles of the cd anyway.. but I think this is alright. It has some nice melody in the beginning that I like. I'm looking forward to the cd... hopefully I'll love a lot of the songs on it.

This may have to grow on me. As of right now I am not digging it, sorry. I can't believe anyone would say it will be a big radio hit! lol He hasn't had one yet.
