David Archuleta’s The Other Side of Down is Billboard’s #1 album in their Readers’ Poll! Woohoo! We did it angels! All the hard work has been rewarded!

David beat out Eminem’s “Recovery”, Lady Antebellum “Need You Now”, Taylor Swift “Speak Now”. JYJ “The Beginning”, Katy Perry “Teenage Dream”, Justin Bieber “My World 2.0″, Ke$ha “Animal” and Kanye West “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy”.

The Other Side of Down has sold 49,000 copies so far. Congratulations Archie!

Most cities PBS have already broadcast A Celtic Christmas where David sings Pat-A-Pan and duets Silent night with Orla Fallon.

David sang two songs for Fox's Kaleidoscope this year and it will be broadcast Dec 19 on Fox

And I think starting on the 16th David will be this year's guest performer at the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas concerts. Over a million tickets were requested worldwide for the 21,000 seats available over the 4 events. And for the first time, tickets are required for the overflow venues where the events are simulcast. The tickets were all free - just hard to get since so many wanted them.

It doesn't have to sell a gazillion albums to win a poll. Congrats to David, it was my favorite album of 2010. :) I would love to know the total sales for this album worldwide. He needs a hit single so bad to get people buying again. His tour next year should help. "Something 'Bout Love" should of been pushed harder to radio before "Elevator" and then "Falling Stars". Well it's too late to complain, lol. I am happy with any music from Archie. He has one of the most amazing voices to come out of idol.
