Dancing with the Stars 18 results, recap and live blog for April 7, 2014. Who was eliminated on Week 4 of the competition on DWTS?

It’s The Switch Up week! The stars get new partners this week as voted by the fans (although early reaction from fans regarding these pairings is that they are questionable, LOL).

Plus: Julianne Hough is the guest judge. This is her second season to do so.

Recap

(I will be updating throughout the night. Please be patient as I am multi-tasking! Chat in the comments below just like old times).

Hmmm… I am not feeling Julianne Hough’s look.

THERE IS NO ELIMINATION THIS WEEK

The scores from this week will be totaled with last week’s scores and a couple will be eliminated next week.

Week 4 Summary

Couple Score Dance Results
Candace Cameron Bure & Tony Dovolani 28 (7,7,7,7) Quickstep (Watch Video) SAFE
Review: Candace didn’t want Tony to be her partner initially, but they got along eventually. I like that Tony dyed his hair! He looks a bit like Candace’s original partner, Mark Ballas, LOL

Carrie Ann Inaba: This is your first ballroom dance and it is hard to master that hold.

Len Goodman: Hair raising performance out there. You attacked the dance well done.

Julianne Hough: It was really wonderful choreography. Body contact was too gapped.

Bruno Tonioli: I wasn’t expecting this. It was like the Quickstep with the Sex Pistols.

James Maslow & Cheryl Burke 35 (9,8,9,9) Tango (Watch Video) SAFE
Review: This was very good. James did not look like he switched partners at all.

Carrie Ann Inaba: I thought the butt was fine. I did not notice at all a switch up.

Len Goodman: This was burning hot.

Julianne Hough: You are the total package, you are so amazing. For you have dedication you have technique, you have everything. You like to stick your butt out like this. Maybe next week Peta can help you tucking your pelvis.

Bruno Tonioli: I have no problems with your pelvis actually.

Drew Carey & Witney Carson 33 (8,8,9,8) Cha Cha Cha (Watch Video) SAFE
Review: This pairing really works actually! Solid gold!

Carrie Ann Inaba: You became a cha cha machine overnight. You killed it.

Len Goodman: I have not had that much fun since I was a teenager.

Julianne Hough: I’m a huge fan, I love it. Good job Witney.

Bruno Tonioli: You’re a splendid sugar daddy of show business.

Danica McKellar & Maksim Chmerkovskiy 32 (8,8,8,8) Jive (Watch Video) SAFE
Review: Maks is so hot. That’s my only comment.

Carrie Ann Inaba: You are shining an beaming like a white light. It wasn’t quote in sync.

Len Goodman: It was high energy. I wanted a bit more Jive.

Julianne Hough: I wanted to see you. I felt Maks like you couldn’t wait to get to Meryl. (OMG that was HARSH!!!)

Bruno Tonioli: It was very difficult to recover when there is an incident.

Charlie White & Peta Murgatroyd 33 (7,8,9,9) Rumba (Watch Video) SAFE
Review: Wow, Charlie White is really good. He’s such a pro.

Carrie Ann Inaba: No question you were a beautiful number, but that wasn’t a Rumba.

Len Goodman: Is it a Rumba? Not in my world it wasn’t. It’s not a Rumba.

Julianne Hough: I thought it was absolutely stunning and beautiful. Charlie you are a mother’s dream. You’re kinda on your heels.

Bruno Tonioli: I love the grand and heroic sweep. You have that grand intensity.

Amy Purdy & Mark Ballas 34 (9,8,8,9) Salsa (Watch Video) SAFE
Review: Amy is such an inspiration to me! I love it.

Carrie Ann Inaba: You are exposed a lot more. I love your middle section.

Len Goodman: I am full of admiration. Your bottom is the top.

Julianne Hough: You are here as a competitor. You can shake it. I am so proud of you.

Bruno Tonioli: You continue to astonish me.

Cody Simpson & Sharna Burgess 31 (8,7,8,8) Foxtrot (Watch Video) SAFE
Review: Cody was born in 1997??? I feel so old. He also sang! I loved that. Very Amber Riley!

Carrie Ann Inaba: Your hold as improved from week 1.

Len Goodman: You attempted to get the footwork right. You have to nail those routines early.

Julianne Hough: The performance was incredible. Right now you are hovering in a no-zone area.

Bruno Tonioli: Good pitching (the vocal). As a performer you are a winner.

NeNe Leakes & Derek Hough 32 (8,8,8,8) Jazz (Watch Video) SAFE
Review: Interesting pairing. And Jazz? African Jazz??? Oh dear. Just work it Nene!

Carrie Ann Inaba: NeNe is working!

Len Goodman: This is a dance that suits your personality.

Julianne Hough: It was so much fun.

Bruno Tonioli: It was like being in the presence of the Queen of Sheeba.

Meryl Davis & Val Chmerkovskiy 39 (10,9,10,10) Argentine Tango (Watch Video) SAFE
Review: This was simply amazing! Wow!!!

Carrie Ann Inaba: You two are a class of your own. Untouchable.

Len Goodman: A little bit staccato here and there but that was the dance of the night.

Julianne Hough: I would like to dance like you. Val the choreography was beautiful.

Bruno Tonioli: Powerful and seductive.
