Fingers crossed she wins. She's a star with a timeless voice. Seeing Bo Bice come up in a different thread makes me wish that they would put Bo and Crystal together in a duet. Man, that would be achingly good.

By Simon's face you can see that he was dismayed by the performances of Lee and that Crystal was taking a "bath" of interpretation and control stage.

Crystal's our inspiration! She reminds us of former American Idol Finalist, Kevin Covais. They both have type 1 diabetes and that hasn't stopped them! Watch Kevin's video! Be the Hero!

Lee DeWyze, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Daughtry and Adam Lambert will ultimately be the 5 most profitable American Idol contestants ever (to this point). Crystal is a nice girl and can have a steady, solid little career. Well done by both Lee and Crystal, no one else on this years show will be singing for a living.

So Crystal was just okay last night (first time in weeks) and Lee had an off-night but has been easily the best singer all year. Lee won this contest by the largest margin ever which is appropriate. Great job Lee!

Crystal was amazing last night and I think it would be a shame if she did not win tonight. Her "Up to the Mountain" performance was absolutely amazing and I got chills and a little teary eyed once it was done...and I'm a guy!

Lee is a decent singer and seems to be a good guy, but if it wasn't for Simon's major "pimping", he would not have gotten this far.

I voted for Crystal last night and I hope America gets it right tonight.

I voted for Crystal but I'm under no illusions that she'll win the title tonight.

She should win both from a standpoint of the season marathon but also last night.

It wasn't close. The Lee of last week was just a fluke, he was back to his off vocals and he was simply insane to pick "Beautiful Day."

Crystal brought it. Big Time. She p0wned as the kids say these days.

None of that will matter.

Lee will win.

He can't sing live, he's not very good looking, he can't hold a conversation. While he's arguably more "current," he is nothing different. I'm not in the desired demographic so it doesn't matter.

Crystal has nothing whatsoever to apologize for. She did her damnedest last night to win and I'm very pleased. I hope she is treated well and is successful post Idol.

Paula was crazy-like a fox-to leave before this season. Simon is on the last life raft before the Idol ship sinks. The series has lost its way.

I'd love to be wrong about Lee winning.

Crystal has been consistently good all season. I think Lee kept getting better and better. The viewing audience was rooting for him. So, finale performance might not be all that important.

We actually think that David Archuleta was better than David Cook on finale night. Yet, David Cook won by a large margin. In hindsight, I think that he was a better choice. Plus, he was very nice to my little David. :)

Hopefully, Crystal and Lee will both be successful, no matter the outcome tonight!

A suggestion AI for the next season.
Put the songs of the contestants on your website…or on several websites after each show…count the number of downloads over a given period and establish in such a manner, whom the public will spend real money on. This can be used for elimination as well as establishing the winner and will cancel out the ones who vote a zillion times but later on buy ONE CD of the same idol they voted for.

Loved all three songs...but Up to the Mountain was all goosebumps...truely an artist with exceptional talent and soul. Come-on USA..get this one right at least! If you like Lee...get a photo!

American Idol should seriously rethink its elimination system. i think the judges should have a say in the process. letting America decide has not worked in the last 4 seasons. hence the non-career of Idol winners.

I have long felt that AI went the drain when Adam Lambert lost. I didn't even follow the show like I did last year. If Crystal loses, then it will be a reflection of how stupid Americans are. Based on the performance tonight, Crystal stumpped Lee big time! Lee didn't have his magical moment. Crystal had numerous moments. Anyhow, I will try to watch AI next year (if it is still not axed), if Crystal wins this.

Come on. After that final performance night, I just can't believe Lee is still leading in every poll out there. Where has justice gone?

Nevertheless, out of desperation, GO CRYSTAL!!!

i think she was 1000000000000% times better t Lee. she sounded better t ever.
but i still think that Lee will probably win and that is good. maybe they will change something in this show. if he lee wins will be so unfair that people will get mad

Wish we could vote here in Canada. It has been a long time since a true musical talent has come along. Not just a pretty face and sexy body, but a musician with a true talent. Hope you get it right, America!!

I'm probably too used to Kelly Clarkson's rendition of UTTM (one of my favorite covers), but I didn't really like Crystal's version. Her phrasing was kind of weird.

Lees's good, but Taylor Hicks was 10X better !

Up the Mountain was really amazing.

Whether Crystal or Lee is better the entire season is debatable. The finale show is just about Crystal. This was a knockout or a unanimous decision cause she won all rounds clearly. Has this happened before? You know that there is a clear winner in terms of that particular night's performances? With Kelly-Justin? I think Fantasia won all three rounds against Diana? I think Bo stole a round from Carrie and other finales were pretty even with no very superior set of three performances over the the contestant. Lee is winning in Dial idol. Would this be the very first time that the losing finalist gave a clearly more superior set of performances? Lee was just off and Crystal was just so on.

In my humble opinion, Crystal outshone Lee every round tonight. By a mile. By a hundred miles. She showed who's "in it to win it". Such a fire in her tonight.

The album original song Crystal sang is suited well for her. She did great tonight, but the original songs for both she and Lee favored Crystal, by a long shot.
