I'm so infatuated w/Crystal..
But was so disappointed Thurs. nite that Lilly didn't get enough votes to beat out awful Katie.. Seriously, America? what an effing mess..
I would have also picked Katelyn over Lacey, but that's minor compared to losing Lilly..

Crystal looked so bummed tonite, and had such a serious sad face during the whole evening.. I don't want her to be fake, but she really is going to need to find ways to smile even in these kinds of upsetting moments, or else the voting public may lose touch with her heart & soul... in other words, she needs to wear it on her sleeve...

No matter what, I CAN.NOT.WAIT to see her on the Idol Top 10 Summer Tour & to buy her CDs in the future..

PS. Does anyone know of any fan groups for her?

PPS. So glad Alex Lambert is gone (his slaughter of Ray LaMontagne's "TROUBLE" was unforgivable, imho), but huge bummer that Todrick got the boot instead of Tim (I just pray no one will ever show Leonard Cohen the vid of Tim's mess of "Hallelujah".. Tim is so bad, couldn't believe Ellen hugged him.. ugh :(

Thank god for Crystal .. Can't wait to see which Rolling Stones song she picks.. Is bound to be incredible ;)

i dont see her genre in today's music chart at all.i just dont get her type of genre yet.yes,she sang great but i still dont get what kind of song she will sing.

I am probably the only one, and I'm guessing i'll get stoned for saying this, who doesn't feel she's win this whole thing. Though she's awesome, I feel that she will get Daughtry'd, and I do think she's kinda like him in a way--extremely talented and sure of one's music and identity. The only problem would be her personality, she's very serious and she has a bit of the cockiness in her. Though I know she's got every right to be cocky, 'cause she's that good, that may be the cause of her getting the shocking boot.

This performance, however is just brilliant.

Crystal is amazing. I love her voice and she is SOOOO laid back when she's signing it's just completely UN-forced, and it's like she's just hanging out singing.

I checked out her other songs on YouTube, especially some of the originals she has and they are exactly the type of songs I like.

I don't consider anyone else in the same league, except that guy with the dark glasses that sang the Paula song, if he can even do anything that caliber again.

She sounds great but I just don't really like this song. I wouldn't buy it. I would buy Sobhan's house of the rising sun.

She has a great voice and performs really well, she also seems like a nice person.

They are talking about her all over, Jay Leno, Simon loving her this year, and on the View this morning, they spoke of her being diabetic and needing to sit down afterwards. I don't think she looked well last night.

I question whether she should be getting tatted and body pierced .....infections are dangerous for diabetics. Maybe I'm wrong about that.

She has been my favorite from day one - she is so much than almost all of the others . They sound like they are girls in a karaoke contest and she sounds like she is a professional .
Sounds a lot like early Bonnie Raitt from her first and second cd;s - bluesy rock , just what I like to listen to ,
Her range is amazing and she knows what to sing or maybe it is just that she can sing anything - personally , I thought she did a much better job on that song than Tracy Chapman did !
I really hope she wins because I want her CD - I want it bad ! : )

Love Tracy Chapman and this song! Loved Crystal's performance too! Love Bonnie Raitt who I also think Crystal reminds me of. If she puts out a bluesy cd I will definetly buy it.

I think Paige and Katie had the worst performances last nightt, however, Katelyn is at risk because that just did not work. She towers over the keyboard and it really did not seem like she was playing it so it came off very fake.

Crystal is amazing....Her voice reminds me of a Mary Chapin Carpenter.

Thank heavens TPTB decided to take a chance on someone 'not usual'. If it weren't for Crystal, this season would be a complete loss. Oh there are a few other's I like (Andrew, Lilly, Didi and Lacey) - but they're just not in her league - not yet, anyway. I really look forward to hearing her each week. You all should check out some of her <a>original work</a> (over at MJ's place). She’s fabulous!

I agree that she has performed very well this season so far, but I think they are over-pimping her and people are getting sick of it. Simon doesn't need to go on about it being hers to lose. It can backfire.

Although she really hasn't gotten THAT much, but it still will always put people off from voting for her. It's like some childish rebel against the judges or something. It's pretty ridiculous.

Oh, yes....she will be here a LONG time. This is the one post that so far nobody has negative thoughts. Love her but I also loved Siobhan and Didi and Katelyn tonight. I can't say that Crystal "blew Siohban out of the water" or anything like that. Both were great.

The problem I'm starting to see (a pattern) with Siohban is what Kara said -- it's hard to see what kind of artist she will be or is trying to be. She's still mainly just a strong voice belting out songs. I can't really picture The House of the Rising Sun on the radio, or really any of the songs she has done.

She reminds me of Bonnie Raitt II. Girl is good. I wonder how she's going to be when they get to the genres. Will the public follow her on the tour? I just wish she wasn't the female Jason Castro -- get those dreads out of your hair Crystal. If she signs with 19R/E, will they allow her to be herself?

Bonnie Raitt is exactly what I was thinking too and I think maybe she should consider (if she can) doing Raitt's I Can't Make You Love Me -- something a little slower and romantic -- just to show a different side. I know she would smash it. I worry, as some others have commented, that she is too predictable. As good as she sounded on the Tracy Chapman song - it really was just her singing it, but really well. Go Crystal!

I already her fans since her audition, I know she going to make it but whether she will grab the A1 crown, is too early to predict, we have seen many fails to win the title due to popularity demand, instead of talent, anyway either she wins or not, she's definately one of the consistent performer we had, hope she stays healthy and well...

the girl can sing, and it was a good performance. the only problem i have with her, is that she's completely predictable, as soon as they said she was singing tracy chapman, i knew she'd be singing this song, and while it was good, she seems locked into this mid-late 90's acoustic singer-songwriter vibe and all her performances, with the exception of last week's (which was amazing), are starting to run together for me. she definitely has a sense of what kind of recording artist she'll be, and that's awesome but i'd just like her to show some depth and do something unexpected.

I totally agree with you. Crystal is so good, has been consistently good, that I worry she won't be able to top herself from week to week. I remember how consistent Chris Daughtry was. People expected him to be just as awesome the following week and I think that even though he was good, he was also predictable and that caused some of his fans to either become bored with the same old thing or complacent and not vote. Crystal needs to shake things up from time to time. She has an amazing voice and strong presence onstage.
