Courtney Stodden, child bride and one of the stars of VH1’s Couples Therapy, has been trying to get into the thrill-a-minute world of centerfold modeling, where hope for fame springs eternal and civilized progress dies at the altar of airbrushed thunder thighs.

One would think Ms. Stodden would be a shoo-in for Playboy Magazine, given her mild celebrity, her youthful figure, and her bleach blond locks. However, the magazine, in a rare show of good taste, passed on the opportunity to splash her across their pages like so much paint on a dry, white canvas.

So the reality starlet took the next logical step in her journey towards centerfold superstardom: inking a deal with Girls and Corpses magazine.

The 18-year-old blonde, who married actor Doug Hutchison at age 16, covers the magazine (on sale April 15), which describes itself as “sort of like Maxim Magazine meets ‘Dawn Of The Dead.'” Each issue promises photos of “beautiful, scantily clad young beauties posing with hideous, decaying, festering corpses.”

On April 1, the “Couples Therapy” cast member tweeted to her following to “Check out my censored Girls & Corpses cover! Purchase it here to see me uncensored.” Sadly, that was not an April Fools’ Day Joke, as she promoted her magazine cover again the next day.

Stodden remained candid when speaking with E! News about what could possibly have possessed her to pose for a corpse fetish magazine (doesn’t she know print is a dying industry?!).

“Girls and Corpses is a silly, yet sexy magazine, which fits my personality perfectly. That’s why I did it,” said the Couples Therapy star, adding that posing with a corpse “was definitely interesting of corpse…hehe.”
