Clay Aiken — Tonight Show with Jay Leno
American Idol’s Clay Aiken on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno
Another great interview with Clay Aiken. His career is going to last forever just like Barry Manilow. For as long as there is an entertainment industry, there will always be Clay Aiken.
Got Something to Add?
If you do not think Clay Aiken is a good performer, than you have NEVER seen him in concert and obviously you did not see him in his recent stint on Broadway in Spamalot! He received rave reviews from the critics on his Spamalot performance!
Clay Aiken has toured eight maybe nine times over the last five years in solo concerts, with many venues completely SOLD OUT and he has grossed well over $30,000,000 in concert ticket sales, more than Kelly Clarkson.
So sorry, your statement he is not a good performer has absolutely no foundation!
Anyone who can gross that much money in concert tickets sales and have that many succesful concert tours in only five years does not achieve that by being a bad performer.
He is so hilarious! I like his hair color here much better than when he was on Jimmy Kimmel. On that show it was too blond and looked so fake. This color looks more natural.
He's a great singer, but not the best performer.
I was there at that taping and it was great!
Clay was his usual snarky, entertaining self and his voice was golden!
He will be around long after many others in 'Idol-land" are forgotten about.
His fan base covers four generations! Not that's smart!
Clay is still fantastic! He has an amazing voice and a wonderful personality. Like you said Rickey, he will be around for along time.
Thanks for posting that, Rickey. I really enjoyed it. I haven't heard Clay sing for awhile. He sounded good, and I enjoy the way he can laugh at himself.
i think his weight is perfect. he was far too skinny on AI.
great interview...probably his best Leno interview. He has matured a lot. And his British accent is IMPRESSIVE (he really sounds like Daniel Radcliffe LOL...and that's a compliment!)
Thanks so much for the thread and video, Rickey.
Clay Aiken is such a great interview. Watching Jason's interviews yesterday was quite a comparison--Clay is so animated and articulate. Very witty and smart too.
I know that the song means a lot to him, but I thought it was a little dull, actually. And, I love him, but I think he should cut back on eating out and maybe go to the gym. That shirt and jacket helped but compare his jaw line to what it was on AI. I think the only body type that looks good on him is slim/lanky.
Clay Aiken is great! I really like the guy. Great singer who just keeps getting better.
I love Jack Black too!!
From your mouth to God's ears, Rickey! The "cooler than thou" crowd will never admit it, but Clay is probably the most well-rounded entertainer to ever come out of AI. And therefore will have a career as long as he wants it. Singer, actor, dancer, songwriter, presenter, author, comedian, talk show host, public speaker.... heck, with that long lean bod & cheekbones, he could even model if he wanted to. There's nothing that guy can't do.
Butterqflyfly : Thanks for the link. Great video! Clay is so funny, he does great interviews. Always makes me laugh, even when he was on Martha Stewart with his grandma! (Don't know how long ago that was though)
lostiegirl, you are soooo right!!! ahahahahah
He is so great in interviews-- he cracks me up. I do prefer his hair shorter and darker, but, oh well. I think his best interviews are with Jimmy Kimmel--those are hysterical!
Clay was a great guest tonight on Leno....always fun and entertaining....quick too with the quips to both Leno and Jack Black!
