Chris Rene – Young Homie – The X Factor Audition – Video MP3
Chris Rene auditions with ‘Young Homie’ an original song on The X Factor
He’s a trash collector. He just got out of rehab. One of the best auditions on any reality show ever.
He may not have the best vocals, but there’s no denying that he left everything on the stage when he performed. The audience responded.
LA Reid said that Chris is “the truth”.
Simon said “Maybe you need the show. Maybe we need you.”

Totally Agree with all the comments above, this guy is totally original and an inspiration to us all. Lets just hope he makes it all the way in the xfactor. Stay tuned for a new up and coming Chris Rene Fan Site (http://www.chrisrenefansite.com)
I usually dont like this kind of music, but this boy touched my heart, I will pray for him that he stays sober and clean from drugs,The devil cant have this one,, if you believe in prayer please say one for him !!
God is Good! Nicole got it right! I hope he goes all the way! He has a lot on his plate - staying sober throughout a very challenging time. But he has the X Factor - maybe lived through experiences but he has a spirit that you are drawn to and with guidance and support, his talent can really go to the next level. I want to buy this song right now! Plus, I am a sucker for a falsetto!
He has my vote! Good luck Chris!
i felt touched after watching his audition, and no doubt he's really talented and amazing singer already,,a star has been made and i am one of your fans now and i will be watching you going on the right track!keep it up chris and stay believin..
I loved it when Simon said, I do not know if you need us or we need you. That was great. This guy has it, he just does. This is a ride.
So Happy for him! I already started bawling when they started playing Coldplay's Fix You in the background…
I really liked it. It was sweet and soulful. but on a human level it made me feel quite uncomfortable. If you have demons you've been battling for years, the idea of putting every aspect of your life under the harsh glare of the public spotlight and the incredible pressure that comes with that...I can't help but feel that the timing is not right for him. Hope I'm wrong. G'luck, Chris.
I hate these singing shows. Well, reality shows pretty much all around. They bring out the deluded and mentally 'not all there' and you people laugh at them. How sad are you? But a friend said Gary check this guy out...I said...geez...from what show? He said X-Factor...I said...not that Simon idiot's new show? He said Ya!
Man, am I glad I did. Still won't watch that crap but man that kid has talent. Too bad he took a fantastic family life, screwed it up being a dick and had to fight back to what he had to start with...just think of where he'd be NOW if he'd kept his shit together from the start.
Best of luck to him! I'd buy that single right now! Screw the show.
This guy is so talented! U know it takes alot of guts to get on stage and national television and tell what's been going on in your life! The way I see it is our lives go threw trials and tribulations! Chris keep doing what u do because there are alot of people like my fiancé and I who admire someone like you! We wanted your single last night lol! We kept rewinding the tv just to hear the song again! Best of luck dude!!!!!
Meh, he's ok. I do like him though and really hope this oppurtunity keeps him straight.
I can only imagine what it's like to battle an addiction to drugs or alcohol so I really hope he stays strong and sober.
This guy was Fat as. Like many I thought, here we go, a Eminem wanna be then Nek Minute, he ripped it up. Gave me goose bumps hard out. Well done Chris, keep it up brother :) look forward to hearing more from you :D
This is happening way too early in this guy's sobriety! 70 days sober is a milestone, but hardly anything close to what he'll need to handle the stress and strain of a competition like this. In reality, he'll be very lucky if he makes it through boot camp without relapsing.
Young Homie What Ya Trippin on! By far the BEST! When you can sing from trial and tribulations, hardache and pain. You CANNOT FAKE IT! We ALL can get second chances! Young Homie What Ya Trippin On!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He has tons of other songs and album on amazon
I LOVE THIS GUY I REALLY REALLY LOVEEEE THIS GUY. YOU COULD FEEL THAT HE KNEW THIS WAS HIS ONE SHOT...HE TOOK IT... AND WON. GOD IS GOOD. I'M PRAYING FOR THIS GUY AND HIS FAMILY. I WANT HIM TO WIN. BUT I WANT REID TO BRING HIM THROUGH IT JUST AS HE SAID HE WOULD DO. REID, DON'T FORGET TO CHECK HIM, CUZ IT'S SO EASY TO FALL BACK WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE PEOPLE BELIEVING IN YOU.
I'M STRAIGHT OUT VOTING FOR HIM ALL THE WAY.
YES! Finally smeone original.
LOVE him and Marcus too.
But Chris is special, really hope this competition can do wonders for him and he stays clean. So much potential with him. He is the real deal.
I miss Cheryl Cole already. If she had stayed the show would have been perfect, Simon made a big mistake.
Likable and talented dude. Very genuine. I am worried that this is too soon for him after just exiting rehab. The stress. He needs some time. The rate of recidivism is so high in the first 6 months, well over 70% and this will be a stress producing experience for him, even if it turns out positive for his career. Seems like a good dude. I wish him well.
Great voice, great song. Youtube, myspace, and twitter music lyrics say it's been 3 years since his last drink. Thought he just got out of rehab...??
Amazing keep it up and stay clean you inspire all of us to do better and Ill be watching the show to see you and what you will do next amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I didn't really love the song, but I loved Chris. I loved his sincerity and his ease on stage. He has something unique.
