Chris Hemsworth to Host ‘Saturday Night Live’, Will Make ‘SNL’ Host Debut

Chris Hemsworth has not only earned the title of PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive, he’s now earned the chance to realize a longtime goal of his.

Hemsworth will host Saturday Night Live on March 7, with musical guest Zac Brown Band. This is the culmination of Hemsworth’s goal to be “funny enough to host SNL,” as he revealed in an interview two years ago, since hosting SNL is something he’s apparently always wanted to do. Of course, this gig seems less about any comedic potential Hemsworth might have than it is about promoting the upcoming release of Avengers: Age of Ultron.

This will mark the Saturday Night Live hosting debut for Hemsworth, and will also be the debut of Zac Brown Band on the big stage. Hopefully, he’s got the comedic chops to pull this off, since he’s a bit unproven in this area. That said, it’s not as if he hasn’t gotten silly in front of a live audience before.
