Renée Zellweger and Catherine-Zeta Jones have signed on to join their former ‘Chicago’ castmates Richard Gere and Queen Latifah to present onstage at the 85th Academy Awards telecast.
“We are very excited to reunite the stars of Chicago to present on the Oscars, on the 10th anniversary of the movie’s win for best picture,” said show producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron in a joint statement.
‘Chicago’ won six Oscars including Best Picture and Best Supporting Actress for Zeta-Jones.
The stars join previously-announced presenters that include the cast of ‘The Avengers’ (Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner and Mark Ruffalo), Mark Wahlberg, Seth MacFarlane’s CGI creation Ted, last year’s acting winners (Jean Dujardin, Christopher Plummer, Octavia Spencer, Meryl Streep) Charlize Theron, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Daniel Radcliffe, Channing Tatum and musical performers Adele, Shirley Bassey, Norah Jones and Barbra Streisand.
The 85th Academy Awards airs Feb 24 on ABC.
