Catherine Tate, who plays recurring character Nellie Bertram in The Office, will be returning to Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch in the fall as a series regular.
You might remember that there was a lot of talk about Tate taking over as the Office manager after Steve Carell left the show at the end of season seven. That didn’t happen, but will she step over Ed Helms‘ character, Andy Bernard, and take the reigns in the fall? We’ll have to wait and see.
This announcement signals that all major cast members will be back for the new season except for Mindy Kaling, who has her own new show, The Mindy Project, on Fox.
