Casey James – Hold On I’m Coming – Video MP3 American Idol Top 10
Casey James sings Hold On I’m Coming by Sam & Dave on the American Idol Top 10
Rickey: This was a great song choice! And great performance. Good job Casey!
Randy Jackson: This was a perfect selection for you.
Ellen DeGeneres: It felt a little generic.
Kara DioGuardi: I think you have more range in you. Show me everything you’ve got.
Simon Cowell: This week, imo, you’ve had your strongest week so far. Really really impressed with you.

Got Something to Add?
This kid will do just fine after idol is over. Touring will loosen him up a bit. He has a great tone in his voice and he can actually play the guitar unlike some previous winners who were more rhythm guitarists.
I think some of that is due to his height. Does anyone know how tall he is? He towers above the rest of the contestants!
He's got the best voice to do something after the show, but statues are less stiff then this guy.
He really has to leave the guitar down a couple times, if he cares to win. Use the mic stand as a tool for 1 song atleast and get some crowd interaction.
Atleast play the guitar in the section infront of the judges not 30 feet back from the stage jeez
I thought that Casey did a great job last night. He was really into the song and I loved his performance. I may have picked a different song for him but he's been consistently really good every week. I'm still waiting for a "moment" and hope he brings it next week when he said he's going acoustic.
He has never had a pitch problem like Lee has had over the the course of the season. Lee was great last night - the first time I thought so but as far as consistency and poise, Casey has it hands down. I feel like I'm at a concert watching Casey.
I loved this performance! One thing I have noticed, the band is always in front of him. He needs to move to the front of the stage. If he moves to the front, with his acoustic guitar, and sings a love song, he will have a "moment."
I actually would love to see Casey and Lee battling it out over Siobhan and Crystal but that is just me.
Love him - he's my favorite!! He always sounds great!! Not a bad note like a lot of the others - I don't care about this top 10 at all - I usually have a few favorites - I only look forward to Casey
I can imagine what Kara was thinking when she watched the performance. "Hold on, I'm cumming Casey! Hahahaha"
it got good during the parts when he was into it with the vocals. but i agree that he's been on the cusp of cheese a lot lately. this was a band song with a repetitive and simple structure for idol. if he sings something heartfelt that shows off his voice i think it would be a good move. nobody else on stage, maybe just an acoustic. at the same time, i can also appreciate him not wanting to change it up for idol. he's going to treat it like a bar gig every time. in a way there's something to say for that.
What can I say- I just love Casey's voice . I think its great that he knows the sort of artist he is & so each week I am confident that he will deliver a great performance & he hasn't let me down yet.
the good: he sounded really good, i'll give props where they're deserved. and he's a really good guitar player.
the bad: ellen was definitely right, it was generic. he picks like the corniest songs and performs them equally as corny. i did not think it was a good song choice, i thought the song was pretty boring in fact. he's "indulgent" as they say. i have the same problem with him as i do crystal...they get up on stage each week and they do the same thing, their performances are starting to all run together. of course they're both talented...but there's no originality, and nothing stands out, it's all completely predictable.
I thought he did just fine. Not a knock-out performance -- but he has still a consistent string of performances this season -- and so far, over-all, I think he is the best male performer this season.
Sounded good to me, wish I could tune in and watch "live" rather than living thru Ricky.org, but enjoy being able to see the videos just the same - tossed Casey a few votes while I was at it, would love to see him sans guitar for a week though, just to see how he handles it.
This was a good performance. But, I still don't think he has any chance of winning. I mean yea he has artistry but he doesn't have that HUGE voice to back it up. He will be around for a few more weeks. But, he won't finish any better then 5th.
theres just somthing about him i don't like , he needs to actually sing , hes going to play the gutair every week , the good ones at least put it down a few times.
Millionaire in the Making.
No wonder he has a permanent smile.
Has the female teenybopper vote locked up. And will split the rocker vote with Lee.
He will win. Bowersox takes second.
He's getting better at performing, but he's so 80s sounding. I don't know if he could ever be new and relevant.
He's the most polished musician of the bunch. He just has a boring facial expression on at all times and awful body language. If he was more expressive, he'd be getting bigger raves.
Casey is HOT and thiis performance was hot. The raspiness in his voice is a pleasure to listen to you.. and it was a perfect song choice.
This was a solid performance, but Ellen has it right, on the fact that it sounded good, but didn't really impress. Nothing new was brought with this, but I still have to give it up to Casey. It was a good performance.
Ellen hit thenail on the head...it doesnt get anymore GENERIC than this....both the song and the singer......like how do u forget the words of a song that is bascially "HOLD ON IM COMING"......for the record I couldnt hold on....this was the ideal bathroom break song if u ask me
