Carly is good, but that is because she has loads of experience. She's very broadway, big-voiced esque. I slightly prefer Beatrice.

@Trey_ Beatrice has just as much if not more experience. They are both pros - but if you are not currently under a contract you are eligible for the show.

Carly Rose over-sung that -- she is a great singer, but she didn't have to try to over-impress.

@KevinB There's a fine line sometimes between over-sung and "made it her own". I listened to the original, and I'd have to say this is a case of making the song melody better with tasteful embellishment , or she made it her own !

They're both great, but the show is clearly misrepresenting who they are, trying to play it off like they're both just "students" who happened to have auditioned for the show. I don't have a problem with people who are already established on broadway or in movies trying out, most of the time I've never heard of them and it's a real treat but they shouldn't hide it. I'm loving this season of the show, but it plays out more like a drama than a reality competition
