Camila Cabello Leaves Fifth Harmony Concert, Apologizes on Snapchat

A scary moment over the weekend from one of the music industry’s most popular groups: Camila Cabelo left a Fifth Harmony concert in the middle of the show due to overwhelming anxiety.

The incident occurred on Friday night in St. Louis, Missouri, as part of the first-ever NOW Night Out concert for NOW96.3. The group had just finished performing “Bo$$”. Several songs remained in the set, when Camila quickly left the stage in what was chalked up to a sudden wardrobe malfunction. However, Camila never returned to the show. Prior to the performance at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater, Camila had tweeted, “Just wanna sleep for 3 days”, which provides a bit of a window into the amount of anxiety that must have been building up for the singer.

Camila eventually took to Snapchat to apologize for the incident, in a video with text over a black background: “Hi Missouri, sorry I couldn’t finish the set last night. Was having too much anxiety and couldn’t finish it. I love u. I’m truly sorry.”

Camila is apparently already back with the group, since she tweeted her excitement about an upcoming show in Dallas, followed by a tweet thanking everyone for their love and support:

As someone who’s suffered from a severe anxiety disorder since the age of 13, it really is an ongoing battle not to let the depression overtake you. Some people might claim Camila was overreacting, but anxiety is no joke. It’s unfortunate for the people who came to the show to see them, but there will be other shows, and Camila has to look out for her own well-being first. I do feel a bit bad for the other girls though, since this can’t have been easy on them. But they’re total pros, so I don’t doubt their ability to change up on the fly. Honestly, they probably all could use a few days rest. They’ve been grinding pretty hard to get 7/27 and its singles up on the charts. But even the most famous artists can suffer from overwork. Hopefully, Camila manages to rest up and get back on her feet, before we end up with another Selena Gomez situation.

Get well soon, Camila!
