Brock Lesnar Was Paid An Insane Amount of Money for UFC 200

WWE star Brock Lesnar made bank at UFC 200, but it was hard to know just how much until official figures were released. Well, the figures have been revealed, and…yeah, Brock made an insane amount of money for his fight with Mark Hunt.

Brock Lesnar’s purse for defeating Mark Hunt at UFC 200 was a whopping $2.5 million. This is the biggest single payday in UFC history, in addition to being the highest guaranteed payday for any UFC fighter. Just to compare, Conor McGregor was guaranteed $1 million for UFC 196 in March, at the arguable height of his fame and earning potential.

What’s even crazier about this number is that it stands to get bigger once pay-per-view buyrates are factored in. Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer predicts that, at minimum, Brock will make $5.5 million, with a potential maximum of around $8 million, which is way more than he’s making in WWE in any given year. So yeah, I’d expect to see Brock fighting again, whether it’s for love of the fight game or for the love of that dollar. Of course, it can be both.
