Adolfo, the best roommate I’ve ever had, is in New York for a couple of days. We spent the afternoon walking the streets of Manhattan. Every ten minutes or so when we either saw a cutie or a store not found in his native Argentina, Adolfo would scream, “I love so much New York!” Haha. I love Adolfo. We were born one day apart on the same year. I thought it was pretty awesome that he’s my friend.

I saw the Olsen twins at Gusto cafe in the West Village this afternoon with Mayapapaya and Grumpus. I didn’t know what to do as I was trying to be a good cafe patron while figuring out how to release my inner papparazi. In the end, the twins left, without me whipping out my camera, so I just said “hi” which one twin aknowledged. Yay.

I kind of pitied the twins. They wore shades all the time, almost embarassed at how they looked like since they were trying to hide from people really. Why hide? Be beautiful, be proud of how you look like and who you are.

I checked my DVR auto-record schedule… and there is NOTHING… absolutely nothing that it will tape next week. I’m trying not to panic. There’s still SYTYCD, and by June, Big Brother All-Stars. I’m hoping that one of the many new reality shows this Summer will be a hit, and I pray that Rock Star: Supernova, which we all know will be a trainwreck, will at least be entertaining. Idol is a tough act to follow, but we must humor ourselves for the next 7 months (!!!) before we do it again next year.

Of the mega superstars of the 80’s Prince is our all-time favorite obsession. How fitting that he comes back to us now in American Idol (our current obsession). Mayapapaya was beside herself, Jodi was stunned, I was freaking out in front of the computer. I’m sure to a lot of you this would be the highlight of the season. At first they confirmed, and then they denied, and now bam! The most awesome artist guesting in American Idol history. Gotta love the dance moves and the double backup. Vintage Prince. Love. It. Thank you American Idol! I don’t know how you are going to top this one for next year, but it was great.
