Oh, no! CNN has reported that Beyonce did not live-sing the National Anthem at the 2013 Presidential Inauguration of Barack Obama. The U.S. Marine Band confirmed the report, claiming that the singer had decided to use a pre-recorded vocal track at the last minute. Beyonce’s performance was originally heavily lauded by the public. This will most certainly change things. Although, we do know that Beyonce can actually sing. What the hell happened? I would have thought Beyonce to be ready for that jelly.

Apparently, something like this is not unusual. All performances are pre-recorded in case of unforeseen mishaps. The real question is why Beyonce dramatically removed her earpiece mid-song, a move that many applauded, if she wasn’t actually singing live. Just dramatic effect; like kicking the mic stand or smashing a guitar, but for divas?

I don't care. It's beyonce lol. And it's not like she did it because she couldn't sing it.

@Trey_ then why did she lip sync? She's a good singer, not a great one. Your comment makes no sense!

@Idol cookie @Trey_ LOL. I don't know no one knows. I assume to make sure it would sound good? I mean she's a good singer, not that it wouldn't sound not that good. For example, Cheryl Cole and Rihanna lip sync because they aren't very good singers. For Beyonce either she would be unsure of how it would turn out. The NYT source said pre-recording a backing track was standard procedure, and at the last minute she chose to use it.
