Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill Talk ‘Batman v Superman’ on Good Morning America (VIDEO)
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is a little more than a month away from release, and stars Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill appeared on Good Morning America to discuss the rivalry between the two superheroes, in addition to some other cool behind-the-scenes tidbits.
Affleck, in particular, talks about some of the advice he received from previous actors who wore the Batman cape and cowl, as George Clooney and Christian Bale offered up some tips: “I talked to Clooney; he had some advice which is not repeatable,” Affleck stated. “And I talked to Christian who just told me to make sure I got a zipper in the suit, which was valuable, practical advice.”
For his part, Cavill discusses the unevenness of the Batman/Superman rivalry. When asked if this is a fair fight, Cavill bluntly states, “It’s not. But we’ve got to make the story interesting.” Affleck’s response as to how they managed to do this goes a long way in exploring how his take on Batman is different from previous versions. Basically, this makes for a really interesting interview, for as brief as it is.
