Sorry, but Azerbaijan's song was awful and boring. How anyone in their right mind could like it, I fail to understand.

Azerbaijan was the best song in the Eurovision, I am not from Azerbaijan but i still think IT was the best ! Welldone :) x
My favorites this year were Hungary, Belgium and Romania. I'm really surprised these countries weren't at the top. The winning song was just okay to me - nothing special about it.
Dusseldorf did a good job presenting the Eurovision. It was a really amazing presentation. Some countries are really trying hard to win it. So much talents poured over from different countries but I think the voting sucks! Its becoming more like a joke now since one country can support by the others depending on their interests. On saying that, it actually make a good healthy competition for all European countries other than football! BTW... well done Jedward! you made Ireland proud!
I rather liked the winning performance. The girl is superb live, this video autotuned out her great tone. I preferred others to win, like Georgia, Germany and Hungary. One thing I must say, it was a fantastic show. First time I watched it, and I think I'll continue in the future.
I have followed Eurovision for over 35 years, and the changes it has gone through have not been so positive, in my opinion. It used to be that countries would sing in their original language. There was no big promotion, ad campaigns, of course no world wide web back then. The songs were performed for the first time on the contest stage and then voted on based on that performance. Through time the public had more voting impact. Now it's come round to the judges having the power over the people. Eurovision has become too political for my taste - countries giving their votes to their neighbors or those with whom they have special interest. It's not about the music anymore. It's not even about the stupid costumes and ideas from some countries. It's political.
I received an email I received as a member of the press that stated that the Ukraine won Eurovision! This was sent out before the voting, and I feel that the email and its content about an imaginary vote by the udges was to influence the votes. There was no reason to ever do such a thing! There was no reason to send around this email saying the Ukraine won this imaginary vote.
Israel has no chance in this competition any longer because of the unfair bias against it - it's political, again. I don't think Israel should be part of this in the future - it's an insult.
And one more new rotten deal - each year I was able to purchase the songs from Eurovision. Now I can't because I don't have a Euro Master or Visa Card.
I have no more respect for Eurovision apart from the honest songwriters who are trying to get their music out. The contest stinks. I can't stand the politics and the bought votes, the judges have no good taste anymore, either. The music has gone downhill, as well. Eurovision has lost its uniqueness and charm, and one fan....me.
One more thing: American singers have been recruited to sing for European countries in this contest. Notice how much rap music has entered into the contest in recent years, as well. But, then we Americans are excluded from participation in the voting and now the purchasing of the songs.
Israel is not Europe and shouldn't participate anyway. The same applies to Turkey. Israel lost all credibility to be a viable state when it continued to persecute the Palestinians. We don't need to listen to their songs and I certainly will not vote for them!
