America’s Got Talent To Take Two-Week Hiatus Due to Rio Olympics

In case you missed last night’s America’s Got Talent results show, Nick Cannon made two major announcements. The first was that he would be returning for Season 12, and so would the current judging panel of Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Simon Cowell. But the other big announcement has more immediate impact on this season: America’s Got Talent 2016 will be taking a hiatus.

Nick revealed towards the end of the results show that AGT would take a three-week hiatus due to the 2016 Rio Olympics. So no new episodes next week. Or the week after that. America’s Got Talent will return with the third live show on Tuesday, August 23 at 8:00 PM.
