‘American Idol’ Star Rayvon Owen Releases ‘Air’ EP Featuring Candice Glover (Exclusive First Listen)

Rickey.org has the exclusive first listen of American Idol star Rayvon Owen’s new “Air” Grapishsoda remix from his upcoming EP.

The remix EP features Owen’s original song “Air” which includes collaborations with producer Josh Hawkins (aka Super Duper) and American Idol Season 12 winner Candice Glover. It comes out on Sept. 25.

I talked to Rayvon about this first EP since his stint on American Idol and the summer tour. He told me that “Air” was his favorite song from his first EP “Cycles” which was released last year. He’s recently been into electronic and house music and thought that this was a good opportunity to push “Air” as a single. After meeting Idol winner Candice Glover during the show and keeping in touch, he was also able to remake the song as a duet with her.

Aside from this new EP, Rayvon has been very busy since the Idol summer tour ended. He’s booked for a couple of guest gigs in Richmond, Virginia this September and next month, he will be performing at the Mercy Lounge in Nashville, TN on Oct. 20.
