American Idol 12 – Top 4 – Song Spoilers – One-Hit Wonders/Free Choice Week
The all-female top 4 take the stage to compete in a One-Hit Wonders/Free Choice theme night on Wednesday’s American Idol performance show.
But what will the finalists be singing? Here are the full song spoilers via The Idol Pad:
Solo Performances – One-Hit Wonders (AT&T Fan Pick):
Amber Holcomb – “MacArthur Park” by Richard Harris/Donna Summer
Angie Miller – “Cry Me A River” by Julie London
Candice Glover – “Emotion” by Samantha Sang/Destiny’s Child
Kree Harrison – “A Whiter Shade Of Pale” by Procol Harum/Annie Lennox (Oh Kree, it’s like you want me to love you forever)
[Okay, some of those choices are seriously stretching the One-Hit Wonder theme)
Solo Performances – Free Choice:
Amber Holcomb – “The Power Of Love” by Jennifer Rush/Celine Dion
Angie Miller – “Who You Are” by Jessie J
Candice Glover – “Find Your Love” by Drake
Kree Harrison – “It Hurt So Bad” by Susan Tedeschi
Amber Holcomb & Kree Harrison – “Rumor Has It” by Adele
Angela Miller & Candice Glover – “Stay” by Rihanna & Mikky Ekko
I’m really digging most of these song choices. Mostly Candice’s and Kree’s, though Amber’s “MacArthur Park” has the potential to be one of her best performances. The duets could also produce some real Idol moments, particularly Angie and Candice’s.
On the subject of Angie, “Who You Are” is a song I’m surprised she hasn’t done already. This could actually be a pretty good night for everyone involved. Color me excited.
What do you think about these song choices? Are they stretching the One-Hit Wonder theme too far? Who made the best choices? The worst? Sound off in the comments! And check out the top 4 finalist diaries below!

Got Something to Add?
I think MacArthur Park can work for Amber...but it could be a trainwreck as well. Frankly I have seen nothing in her that tells meshe can pull off a Donna Summer dance tune, and there is no way she is doing the Richard Harris version. She has shown no sense of stage presence and if I have to see her in those ratty jean shorts one more time I am going to scream.
Seriously Amber...you have a free choice and you choose the Power of FRICKIN-FRACKIN Love?!? So disappointed; I was really hoping she would pull a surprise this week (or at least something remotely interesting). Alright Candice...take 'em down!
OK I'm soooo happy for Angie's choices! Cry Me A River is great... Who You Are is perfect for her! And STAY! <3
I would love to be able to say something positive about most of these themes that the producers push on us. Free choice is an exception to the positive side of the ledger.
"(Okay, some of those choices are seriously stretching the One-Hit Wonder theme)" Nick. You are correct. I don't take these producers seriously any more. These contestants are pushed and pulled in so many directions over the season but my thought is this "open choice" has the potential to be the season highlight. I think they are all good "open choices".
I can not still pick a winner at this stage! Roll on tomorrow night.
I saw these spoilers this morning. I can't to see wait to see what Candice does with Find your love by Drake.
I was ready to claw my eyes out after reading the one hit wonder list...but then it got better and better!
Tomorrow 's performances can be amazing, or horrid. I'm excited!
@JulianPerry6 I'm really disappointed too. Seems quite lazy and since Hollie did a good enough job with it last year, I don't fancy hearing it again.
@Trey_ I love the fact that she takes more risks with song choices and this one seems pretty bold considering it's a hip hop song. But I hope she kills it this week. GO CANDICE.
@Klope62 This has a SEASON 6 feel where the the top 2 black girls will be kept out of the Finale. I wont be suprise to see an Angie-Kree finale.
@Klope62 It's going to be amazing!
Jordin Sparks did make the finale and she won. And Candice isn't gonna come in third or fourth place either. I hope for a Candice/Kree finale.
@Klope62 You are a true fan and friend.
