why is the british set song list almost as old as the 60s set, except of course for bleeding love?

Wow songs that I've heard only a few times! I don't think these kids know these songs at all except for Bleeding Love of course. British Pop should have been at least "Current" British Pop.... sigh...

Sounds like a great show, but damn. Whoever sings "River Deep, Mountain High" is getting the boot XD It's the song that Pia went out on last year which means it has to be cursed.

I guess Jessica will get stuck in a trio on the Righteous Bros song with Joshua and Hollie.  One note Phil hasn't got a hope in hell singing that high.  It'd be obvious for Jessica to do Jesse McCartney's Bleeding Love, likely note-for-note.  Presumably Phil will be doing Joe Cocker.  I hope Jessica isn't saddled with Proud Mary but I'm afraid it'll happen.  I remember it being a risky song in Idol history.
