Personally i'm not sad that david leathers didn't make it top the top 24 because i saw his covers on youtube and it was quite boring even if he has an amazing voice it explains why he doesn't make it
Okay I finally broke down and had to look at this because one of my favorites, Johnny Keyser, is already gone anyway. The guy has a flawless voice, gorgeous falsetto and runs as smooth as honey. Plus he's super hot, which doesn't matter to me but this show would see that as marketable. I don't get it. And where is David "Sounds-Like-MJ" Leathers Jr.?! He really sounded like a young Michael Jackson. That being said, I'm thrilled about insanely gifted Reed Grimm and my fellow Rhode Islander Erika Van Pelt! There's only been 1 other Rhode Islander that made the top 24 in all these years, I think, and he got cut in top 24 week. Erika has a killer voice so I think she has a great shot at making top 12. Plus I freaking love Heejun for his personality alone. But Reed is my favorite now because he's a musical genius, creative beyond belief, and such a natural talent that he didn't even need a real rehearsal to wow the judges in Hollywood. The guy not only had to switch songs 15 minutes before showtime but decided to up the ante by playing the drums at the last minute too! I love that he's an actual musician and not just a karaoke singer like most on this show.
Okay, let's see; if I had to pick the Top 13 right now (and I'm sure it will be 13 again), I would want, based on everything I've heard: Elise, Erika, Hallie, Jessica, Jen, Skylar, Colton, Deandre, Heejun, Jeremy, Joshua, Phillip, and either Creighton or Reed (we don't need both, no matter who else gets in). Unfortunately, I doubt that it's going to play out like this.
Shannon has no distinct personality. Baylie was a little off last time I heard her. Haley is too bland of a blond and pales next to the others. Adam looks and sounds too much like Danny Gokey, and I'd rather not listen to all the bloggers complain about bad memories. Aaron doesn't excite or intrigue me the way a reality contestant should. Eben is cute in a teddy bear sort of way, but he doesn't quite seem ready and mature enough for this business. I don't know enough about Chase or Chelsea to attach myself to either of them. And there's no way I want Brielle in the finals if her obnoxious stage mom is going with her. (I'll play along with the mean Idol editors and pretend Hollie doesn't exist.)

I can't believe what a great show this was tonight. I was riveted. Such great singers and I loved the old songs and the arrangements. It was VERY entertaining.
Weird. MJ'S spoiler post is still alive with activity, and this one is, like... dead. What gives? Oh well. This looks like a good group. The ones I have tabs on now are Baylie, Hallie, Colton, Heejun, and Phillip.

NIGEL is smoking something this year because he lost it. I HATE that dude. He will lose faithful watchers this year for not having any BLACK female singers. I HATE NIGEL and all 3 judges.
QKW24 I'm sure that didn't happen on purpose. Perhaps the staff was absent-minded that day, which does not mean the same thing as stupid (though Randy is, was, and always will be). I mean, besides that Ashley "Joy-hopper" girl, who probably blew up in Hollywood, we haven't seen any really good black woman singers. By the way, the show has been renewed until after Season 12 (2013), so if it does fail, next season will be the last, not this one.
Season 11 will go down as the WORST season ever. It will be worst than Season 9.
QKW24 You are an idiot. You haven't even seen what these people can do yet. Just see what they do in Hollywood and I'm sure you will find a favorite. Don't judge before you have even heard them sing.
Rickey the ride was fun man. I've been with you for 8 years now. But I'm over American Idol. The show has become a laughing joke. No wonder Simon left. The wrong people win every season. THIS stupid country never can do anything right.

JenniferChen Yes, Baylie Brown was the country girl who auditioned and favorited by Randy, Paula especially Simon (even predicting that she could be the next Carrie Underwood) but sadly becoz she forgot the lyrics and all.. she got eliminated during hollywood round. I guess, Randy did remember her and gave her another shot. :)
