Adechike Torbert – Vegas Week – So You Think You Can Dance

Adechike Torbert So You Think You can Dance 01-2010-06-03.jpg

Adechike Torbert dances for his life on So You Think You Can Dance! He cried! Twice!

Oh the drama.

Adechike made the mistake of being cute and decided to do a tap dance instead of his style which was contemporary during the Vegas solo round. The judges then made him dance for his life after the ballroom round to see if he is worth it.

He's waaay overrated. That didn't impress me much at all, I hope he goes soon as he is grossly horrid at the other disciplines.

Well hopefully dancing for his life woke him up a bit to take this more seriously.
His solo really was great.

Does anyone know the song that he danced for his life to? If anyone can tell me I'll love them forever.

This shows you how bias the judges are towards Contemporary and all those styles. If an amazing ballroom dancer had lacked like that in contemporary. They would have been sent home right away, without a chance to dance for their life.

The website was right, it was a mix of three songs. Check out James Dooley.

Found out the song is Ruthless Gravity by Craig Armstrong. Credit sort of goes to fox.com's recap -- they got the song-title but put the wrong artist.

Last 2 or 3 seasons, they did that all the time...had people dance for their lives, I mean. They gave Mark Kanemura another chance, even though he was pretty mediocre in several areas (& stayed that way on the show). There are others, though I can't remember specifics right now. I don't know why Nigel had to treat him as if he was stupid. He could have just told him it was unwise to not show off his specialty before. Nigel is sooo about the drama and doesn't care about the feelings of these dancers.
