Adam Wakefield Stuns With ‘Soulshine’ on The Voice 2016 (VIDEO)

Adam Wakefield brought it for his rendition of “Soulshine” by The Allman Brothers Band on The Voice 2016 Live Top 12 Performances on Monday, April 18, 2016 for Team Blake Shelton.

This is the most I’ve ever liked this song on a reality singing competition. Too often, the song kind of gets away from the singer (think CJ Harris from American Idol 13). But here, Adam is in control the entire time, even when his emotion starts to overcome him. He’s just such a passionate dude, and it shines through (no pun intended) in his music. Adam, Blake and Pharrell give him a standing ovation, and I’d argue he deserves it. His tone is superb, and adding an organ to the arrangement gave it an almost religious feel to it. I loved this.
