Adam Levine Offers to Pay for Funeral for Christina Grimmie
Adam Levine, who coached Christina Grimmie on The Voice Season 6, has made a generous offer in the wake of Grimmie’s tragic death at the hands of a deranged gunman this past weekend.
“I found out this morning that Adam Levine personally called my mother and said he will pay for the funeral and her plane flight,” said Grimmie’s brother, Marcus, in a post. “I was blown away.”
It’s a touching offer from The Voice coach, who noted he was “absolutely devastated and heartbroken” by Grimmie’s death. However, Grimmie’s family might not even need the money, considering $160,000 has already been raised by the GoFundMe page set up by Grimmie’s manager. Still, it seems like the family is leaning towards accepting Adam’s generous offer.
“Please do not feel the need to donate anything at all. Please,” Marcus would go on to write. “Just leave a kind word, message or picture in the comments or message me and sign this change.org petition to help Christina…be remembered in the next legend of Zelda game, her favorite game of all time.”
Here’s hoping Nintendo honors that wish. It would be a touching way to remember such an amazing talent.
