Adam Lanza identified as Connecticut Shooting Suspect

Adam Lanza has been identified as the shooter in the Connecticut School Massacre this morning.

Police earlier identified the suspect as Ryan Lanza — his brother. Adam was carrying Ryan’s ID at the time. Ryan is in Hoboken being questioned by the police.

From NY Post:

A crazed gunman dressed in black went on a rampage at a Connecticut elementary school this morning, in a massacre that left the shooter and 26 dead others – including 18 children.

Adam Lanza, 20, shot his mother dead and targeted her kindergarten class at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., sources said. Sources also told The Post that Lanza’s mother was a teacher at the school and he “had a dispute with her.”

From FOX News:

Fox News and the New York Post are both reporting the shooter in the Connecticut elementary school shooting has been identified as Adam Lanza, 20.

Law enforcement initially said the shooter was 24-year-old Ryan Lanza, however Fox News said the shooter is Ryan Lanza’s brother, Adam Lanza.

At this hour, there are still conflicting reports of the exact identity of the shooter. The reason could stem from the possibility Adam Lanza was carrying Ryan Lanza’s ID.

I live in CT. The state police have not identified which brother they have and which is the shooter. They are giving out very little info so tread lightly when you read these large news outlets.
