Adam Lambert To Appear On CBS Early Show Tomorrow After GMA Cancellation

His mom is very proud of him, as witnessed on the CBS Morning Show. Some of you say Adam is becoming arrogant and big headed. Not true, he is simply very confident in himself and his beliefs, and is brave enough to stand up for his beliefs. The AMA show wasn't his best performance, but he redeemed himself very well on the CBS Morning Show.

What he did was not "art". It was vulgar. Glad ABC dropped his ass. CBS just wanted him because of the controversy and maybe it would help their #3 morning show ratings. He sounds like his ego has gotten the best of him in his post AMA interviews. Sorry Adam. You are too full of yourself and will alienate many of the fans that put you where you are. You are not a "superstar" and the way you are going, you will never be. You claim to not want to be the "posterchild" for the gay community then you flaunt it on network TV. You can't have it both ways. You say you want it to be about the music, then you put on a trashy, vulgar "performance" (and I use that term loosely) and say "shock is fun". Well get over
yourself and remember where you came from. I bet your parents are real proud of you now.

Adam was not sexy on AMA. It was not provocative or daring or fun or any of that. I really liked Adam before, but now I don't care about him. I would not pay even .99 cents to download his new album.

The man is just too full of himself.

And. Yes - Daughtry has sold just over 700,000, but that is a biggest DROP from CD to CD in idol history. Also. Here the reviews have been SUB-PAR - at best. I loved his first CD. HATE the second.

I am very aware of how many copies Archie sold. I was an Archie fan. Felt he should've won. Truth remains. He hasn't yet sold 800,000. Close, but not yet. I'm BANKING on Adam being the season 8 platinum record. There is always (at least) 1.

Daughtry's and Kelly's latest albums have sold a little over 700,000 copies, and Kelly's album included several hit singles. Maybe Adam will do better, maybe not.

Too early to gloat. Let's wait until we have the first estimates on Adam's album sales. He would have to sell more than 800,000 copies to outsell Archuleta's debut. Maybe he will.

WAIT WAIT WAIT... Are you putting Archuleta before Lambert!? BIG MISTAKE! You watch what Archie's second CD does. It won't be much! I'd guess... Less than 200,000 copies (and that's a stretch) will be sold. YOU WATCH! The Christmas CD is not the second CD, btw. I'm talking about his second CD. Even Jordin won't sell 200,000 copies on her second CD. Adam. Who knows, but the first will - I BET ANYTHING - outsell Archie's debut CD. If there's a platinum record in season 8, it's Lambert. No one else could sell 1,000,000 records.

I'm also gonna GUESTIMATE that Kris won't even go gold. He'll top out around 400,000 TOPS - MY GUESS! I'd be shocked if he breaks 400,000.

My only question is...why? Why would they want him and why do any of us care?

they are likely the ACCURATE #s, because the first week sales are for TUESDAY - MONDAY. Today is Tuesday, so 80,000+ is probably the accurate number. That's got to be the LOWEST by a bunch!

I think everyone needs to remember that Adam's background is in musical theater. It was a performance that, in hindsight, definitely pushed the boundaries... but I think people that want to label him as a pervert don't know him, haven't seen his interviews or interviews of those who know him well... and definitely don't know how talented he really is. Google Adam Lambert "is anybody listening." He's a performer and I think people need to seriously lighten up!

I guess these numbers are still predictions.

You don't see Daughtry, Underwood, Cook, Archuleta, Buble, on and on, doing that kind of stuff. They don't need to. i really dont get why there was such an uproar in the first place. i recall seeing a sketch on MADtv, in the 90's mind you, where Michael McDonald grabbed anyone who said or did something innocent that could be portrayed as slightly suggestive and continued to move their head towards him suggesting a sex act. to their credit, it was funny. i dont remember this getting all over the media. was it because it was aired late? that was probably, maybe half of it. the show could be vulgar but it was still aired and no one complained because it was funny.

adam and his dancers practice this elaborate performance and he gets banned from a show? he didnt do his best, but he DID entertain. so what if he kissed a dude? girls kiss all the time in the media and it's like it's socially acceptable.

he's openly gay and even so, the whole performance was still just that. an act. he leveled the playing field on the sociable acceptance of provocativeness between men and women. there's no problem. people just want to make it a problem.

people are saying "oh i dont want me kids to see that!" and yet watching britney spears dance like a stripper and rappers dry hump practically naked women in rap videos is perfectly fine to your child's growth and mind frame. 13 year old girls wont wanna start dressing and dancing slutty at all from that noo... please allow me to barf now.

VIOLET... They hired ADAM for the AMAs because his performances bring viewers. They didn't hire Kris, because they knew it wouldn't bring in viewers. The fact Adam went overboard is a shame, but in reality, it wasn't as big a deal as everyone keeps saying. It was a bit too far, yes, but not the end of the world.

GMA - YAWN. Who cares what they do? Does anyone even watch those morning shows anymore? The only one who will suffer from the cancellation is GMA - not adam. Sure - GMA has a LOT of explaining to do to all those ADAM fans who woke up before the crack of dawn to be there. They will NOT be mad at Adam. They will be mad at GMA - but again... WHO CARES. GOOD FOR CBS! Adam is SO RIGHT when he talks about a double standard. When Brit and Madonna lip locked wooooooooooooooo that was hot and shocking and no one complained, we've all scene and heard about rap artists practically dry humping w/ fans on stage........ when Adam kissed a guy on stage, quick lets everyone damn him for it????? UH.......not! Granted, I WILL say that grabbing the guys head and shoving it into his crotch simulating oral sex was a bit much for the AMA's. It appears that Adam's problem is he doesn't know that he isn't yet a superstar. He's catering to a small niche of fans who think vulgar is cool. Too bad he wasn't a little more business savy. Ostracizing a huge portion of your fans (or potential fans) "just because you can" is not smart. This has nothing to do with being gay - it's about being vulgar. And yes, simulating a BJ on tv is vulgar whether you are gay, hetero, male or female. It's too bad he didn't take the classy route - he has the voice and personality for greatness. I think he did himself in on this one.

Why the Glamberts are defending Adam? He made a mistake. No harm in admitting it. AMA was a golden opportunity for him to prove to the the people outside AI how good he is as a singer. He is not Medona or Elvis yet. Its a mistake and if he and his fans realise this and move ahead it will be good for his career. I hope he won't do the same thing on CBS. He should sing for his life and show the world how great he is as a upcoming artist.

The CBS Early Show is the 3rd place "also ran" of morning shows with poor ratings.

They want him as a gimmick.

Too bad--Adam DOES have talent. He doesn't need all the sex-fluff. Whitney Houston and Kelly Clarkson only needed microphones. violet4ever, nobody knows why he was performing but he had a great opportunity. I wish they awarded the winner of American idol 2009 the same. After all Idol is making a great impact lately. Paula presented, Kelly, Daughtry, Carrie sang and Kris presented.

I have a dumb question. I don't really follow Lambert news but why was he performing on the AMA's? If I am remembering correctly, last year David Cook did a set at the Red Carpet event and then presented one or more awards during the AMA show. Is it unusual to have an AMA performer who doesn't even have an album out yet?

Bravo CBS; Over at Perez Hilton he pointed out that there's not bad press and Adam will benefit from all of this in the end. It's like he went to the Madonna school of how to make a kurfuffle.

I'm I the only person who finds this whole "situation" absolutely entertaining and hilarious? I, too, was slightly shocked by Adam's performance on the AMA's, but after reading people's comments and Adam's response and explanation, I'm dying!!!! Adam's right; there are many female singers who incorporate simulated sex into their performances. So, Adam took it a couple steps further. It's funny. I LOVE that GMA cancelled, and the Early Show picked him up. Thank you, Adam. I'm dealing with REAL issues, and this is a great diversion. Adam's keeping his word - FYE!

You guys forget one thing. This was his grand debut as a solo singer away from a talent show.

Elvis and the Beatles were established artists and this is the reason why they could change things.

Not many outside of the show of American Idol knew him the artist.

Now they know him as the person who made his sexuality the central point of his performance instead of showing off his vocal range.

It wasn't even well done! It looked cheap and desperate.
