Adam Lambert finale performance canceled because he missed rehearsals

The real shame is that those of us who know Adam's work ethic and graciousness, who know that EVERYONE whom has ever worked w him called him a gentleman and professional beyond their expectation knows the truth. The popeater writer and the Rickey's of the world are spreading falsehoods that the casual gossip readers will eat up because of course Adam's a bitchy queeny diva. He's a gay man. What else to expect? Meanwhile he's tirelessly working to perfect his nearly SOLD OUT American tour.

Then after spreading lies about him gonna call HIM a diva for calling you out on it. That's rich. Maybe Adam is right if you were spreading something else you might not have enough time or energy to spread lies. lol

Adam's statement on stage with Ryan during his week of mentoring and performing on AI a few weeks back..."I owe American Idol everything"... I've also heard him say the same thing in numerous interviews on his recent promotional tour in the UK. He was also one of the very few contestants who regularly thanked the band after his performances....Adam is no Diva, and I'm sure everyone on the AI crew would agree.

Adam thinks Rickey needs to get laid. I tend to agree.

Adam clearly tweets he would've loved to have been there to support Simon - he TWEETS IT. It's one of the first tweets he sent. "Would have loved 2 have been at the Idol Finale to wish Simon farewell and support the finalists, but this tour for my fans is my priority."

He got sick, and clearly had to delay some rehersals, and shit - and the equipment HAD TO GO EAST TODAY. They had to do a full run-through, and Adam had all those meetings to go through. AND his voice isn't right right now. Yes, it would've been nice for him to go - but he didn't. Why weren't Clay and Daughtry there and why aren't u going after them for not being there? Cook was a winner, and wasn't there - but he was otherwise engaged.

I wish you'd not do this sort of thing :/

I'm inclined to believe the story that Adam Lambert was invited, although I'm also inclined to believe it was not to perform a solo but to be present in the group performance of past idol winners for the benefit of Simon Cowell.

Adam was a favorite of Simon Cowell so it doesn't make sense not to invite him! Another Simon Cowell favorite was David Archuleta and he was there on stage with the rest of past idols!

David Cook was, by the way, also invited to be there but by the time the invitation came to him, he had already accepted an invitation to be at a charity event to benefit cancer patients in Kansas City.

Rickey, I think it would be very noble of you at this point to post a separate retraction to this article. The Adam-hating trolls who frequent your website are not going to read the above comments proving the invalidity of this, and will continue believing it. Do the right thing...

I have now just been made aware of more gossip and rumormill: First of all, i was never asked to appear on the finale in any capacity. 2nd: I DID come down w a throat bug most likely caught on my flight back from this past weekends' concert in Boston. was put on vocal rest yesterday from MY show's rehearsals which doubled the work 2 do 2day since all equip. had 2 be sent back east tonight. sad that Im forced to defend myself bout situation no one pointing fingers knew any factual details about. Im working so hard on this tour!! All i ever heard was:"you've not been asked to perform on finale.Would you like to sit in the audience?" Me:sorry-Too much work to do today. "

So, basically, my earlier post was right. Adam was not asked to perform. That, and the development of this throat bug for the poor guy would've made it impossible anyway. The poor guy has expressed time and again how thankful he is to American Idol.

Adam tweeted a couple of weeks ago that he wasn't going to be on the finale. Today it was announced that he would be on vocal rest for the next 48 hours. Anyone who has followed Adam Lambert's career absolutely knows this man is NOT a diva. He is intelligent, caring and professional to a fault. This article is pure trash. Mr. Lambert is about to embark on a 60+ city North American tour to be followed by an European tour. His US tours are selling out within a few minutes. He is a huge international star even at this early stage in his career.

He may not be your particular cup of tea, but that is no reason to spread false rumors that Adam is a rude diva. But there's nothing to stop you trash authors, is there?

Sorry, I'm just not buying it. Adam tweeted several days ago that he wouldn't even be there. He doesn't seem to be the kind of careless person who would blow off a chance to promote his new single just to be a diva. I read the article in question and first of all, their "source" is anonymous. Secondly, the article stated that Adam didn't want to conform to Idol's standards while performing. Well, he performed on Ellen and Leno last week and conformed just fine. This is really a lame rumor; it doesn't appear to have legs to stand on.

This is the best news Ive heard yet..good riddance to Adam Lambert..I am gonna watch tonight cause its Simons last....could care less who wins although a win by the mediocre paint salesman would be a fitting end to an awful season!

I really don't know what side to believe here. About one week ago Adam already told his followers, that he was not appearing at the big finale and that it was all rumors. I know he is a drama queen, but I think also, that there are enough people out there who intensely dislike him and would try to ruin his reputation any way they could...sigh. I guess we'll never know for sure

It sounds to me he just wasn't asked. Which, while it would've been cool, makes sense considering he'd performed much more recently than Kris. It's too soon. He's said he wanted to. And if he was a diva, we would've heard about this hella sooner than just now. Sorry, not buying the diva tag.

Adam is a brilliant professional artist who greatly values what Idol has made possible for him this past year.. He had a great performance of his "Whataya Want From Me" single on the show recently and everyone who works with 19/Fremantle, etc. was so impressed...

According to Adam's tweet about the Finale, it wasn't workable for him to perform again on the Finale, and Kris hasn't performed at all this season, so that made sense.

Rickey, please don't be calling people "diva"s until you've thoroughly confirmed controversial stories like this..
