(Here’s Noelle’s recap of last night’s episode of Ugly Betty: Backseat Betty – Adam Rodriguez is HOT!)
This week on Ugly Betty, things are getting weird and no one is acting like they normally do. Betty is out to prove she’s fearless, Justin tries to fit in at his school, and Daniel is still sippin’ the crazy juice over at that “support” group of his. This episode is full of twists and is graced with a hot guest appearance by Adam Rodriguez. Besides it being Ugly Betty night, that was reason enough for me to tune in.

After Elton is confirming a rumor that ABC will move Ugly Betty to Wednesday nights after Modern Family and Cougartown to complete their “comedy lineup”.
This is a great idea, and hopefully, revives the show. Ugly Betty on Friday night was seen as a sign that ABC was getting rid of the show after this season — so this is a good sign that we’ll have more Betty in the future. That only issue: what will happen to Lost in January since that’s on Wednesday nights?
We’ve been getting a lot of good feedback lately from Noelle’s Ugly Betty recaps, so this makes me giddy.

(Here’s Noelle’s recap of tonight’s episode of Ugly Betty: Plus None)
This week on Ugly Betty, Betty is overcome with the feeling of being unneeded. Between Matt asking someone else as his date to Wilhelmina’s fundraiser and Daniel hiring his new assistant, things are changing too fast for her liking. Her problems are minimal compared to what Wilhelmina and Nico are still dealing with but everything may not be as it seems. More Marc please.

(Here’s Noelle’s recap of tonight’s episode of Ugly Betty: “The Wiener, the Bun and the Boob”)
This week Betty gets her own assistant! She’s swamped covering the worst jobs in New York City as an assignment for her first article. On the plus side, her assistant will help her finally maintain all the tasks her new job requires her to juggle. On the down side, her new assistant is Marc. But really, that’s a positive thing because who wouldn’t want to spend the day with Marc and be the weiner to his bun?

(Here’s Noelle’s recap of tonight’s episode of Ugly Betty: “Blue on Blue”)
Ugly Betty time! This week Marc is still on an Anti Betty rampage and wants to recruit Amanda and Matt to help make her life hell. Betty is out to prove she deserves her new job despite what everyone else thinks. She gets a tip on a story that she believes will really help her out. But this wouldn’t be a tv show if it went smoothly so of course this episode will be filled with tons of awkward ups and downs. Meanwhile, Daniel is still trying to find his way since the death of his wife and may have found a new source of support while Wilhelmina is still on the hunt for Connor and just may have finally found him.

(Here’s Noelle’s recap of the season premiere of Ugly Betty “The Butterfly Effect”. Betty’s back!)
Ugly Betty is back! FINALLY. And we get a 2 hour premiere. We last left Betty after she broke up with her boyfriend Matt and he positioned himself in an ulitmate spot for revenge by becoming her new boss. Christina left Mode and moved away so Betty is pretty much alone at work and needs all the friends she can get. Her new office-mate is not going to be one of them. Her name is Megan and you can add her to the list of people who want to take Betty down. Also on that list is Marc, who’s a bitterbert about losing his potential new job to Betty and has made it his mission to get rid of her. Meanwhile, everyone’s hiding something, from Wilhelmina to Justin. Secrets=Drama and that’s why I love this show.

Why? First they move the show to Friday, and then move the date one week. The 2-hour screener was made available to critics last week so it doesn’t look like a production issue. Hmmm… Maybe we need more buzz.

Hey girl! I wish it was an Oscar Mayer wiener!
America Ferrera filming Ugly Betty in New York as a hotdog.
See? The doors of opportunity have opened for Paula Abdul now that she has decided not to return as an American Idol judge. She is now in talks to be a guest on Ugly Betty.
I really don’t think she’s going to return to the show now. She’s so in demand now — I’m so happy for her! Go Paula! Leaving Idol was the best thing that could happen to her, who knew right?

Val Emmich plays Jesse, Betty’s new love interest on Ugly Betty. I saw America Ferrera and Val Emmich film some scenes in front of Betty’s apartment building last Friday.
I’m very happy to discover that Val Emmich is also a musician (well he plays a musician on the show and he really is a musician). He recently released CD called “Little Daggers”. He has recorded four albums.
You can visit his MySpace to listen to some of his songs (and videos on YouTube). While you are there, please tell him that Rickey.org sent you so we can convince him to do an interview on Rickey TV! Yay!

So I’m walking down the street and guess what: Ugly Betty is filming! I just waved at America and she waved back at her fanboy. I’m in front of Betty’s apartment! I now know where it is!!! They are shooting a scene with her new love interest.
Go Ugly Betty!
Update: I will be home late tonight, but I will talk about this in a secret show on Rickey TV when I get home.

Project Runway’s Christian Siriano guests on Ugly Betty where we discover that Daniel’s girlfriend and Wilhelmina’s sister Renee is a raving pyromaniac.
Also, I really love the Betty-Henry-Gio-Daniel love quadrangle. Betty’s a boy magnet! Henry FT%$#@W!
Fierce!

Ugly Betty is back!

Gabrielle Union and Gene Simmons guest star on Ugly Betty.
And so it has come and gone: the last filmed episode of Ugly Betty this season. We are now at the mercy of the Writer’s Strike. If the regular schedule was followed, we would be expecting new episodes by the Fall. However, that’s almost certainly not going to happen. I hope we could get something by Spring 2009. That’s more than a year people. The strike doesn’t look like it’s going to end soon.
So that’s it. Now it’s time to watch the filmed episodes of Lost, and that too will end abruptly. It’s going to be all reality TV and game shows until the Summer.

What? Betty in cuffs? What’s going on here?
I’m just trying to savor every bit of this show since next week will be the last episode of Ugly Betty, and then we all wait for the Writer’s Strike to end, and then we wait for them to write, and then wait for them to film, and then wait for them to edit. Basically: We’re screwed!
At any rate, an interesting twist tonight as Claire Meade goes on trial for the murder of Faye Summers. Can Betty save the day again? But she’s in cuffs! Also: the spermination of the Wilhelmina – Bradford baby begins!

The Bow Wow and Omarion gay tour makes a stop on Ugly Betty. I am so convinced that they are a couple now, and it’s almost as if Bow Wow and Omarion are reaching out their fans: look at us, we’re a happy gay couple, we went out of our way to get booked on the gayest show on TV Ugly Betty. I doubt that Bow Wow and Omarion were looking for “street cred” by appearing on this show. But seriously, they really look great together… because you know, they are apparently attracted to each other’s mutual hotness.

Sorry this is late, but better late than never I guess. There are 3 more episodes left of Ugly Betty starting January 10, and then we are at the mercy of the Writer’s Strike which is still not resolved. When new episodes of Ugly Betty get filmed hopefully they’ll make “Hazelnuts for Henry” or “Hashbrowns for Henry” or “Hummus for Henry” …
