Omigosh. David Archuleta is just super-awesome now. He’s like a 17-year-old kid super-excited about what he’d just gone through for 8 months. Oh yeah — he is a 17-your-old kid super-excited about what he’d just gone through for 8 months! His post-Idol interviews are the BEST! Forget the “It’s a progression” buzzwords — give me the “I’m still so excited after 8 months I don’t what to say” answers with Mariah hands!

Wow – I really liked this group interview. I was surprised at how articulate Jason was – which makes me wonder if AI wasn’t doing some super-editing throughout the season. And it’s obvious the contestants like each other and had a lot of fun during the show. Now they can have even more fun on the tour and starting the rest of their careers!

I think the machine that is AI edited a lot more than just Jason’s interviews. I think they decided early on that he wasn’t THEIR pick for an American Idol and thus began the subtle media trashing they do so well, basically turning their collective back on Castro. I’m sure they were less than happy that the fans recognized Jason’s talent and kept him in the competiton for so long in spite of their best efforts. But, do I believe TPTB on AI learned a lesson about their “natural selection” process? Absolutely not. They will continue their unfair touting of THEIR favorites forgetting AI is supposed to be a fan driven show. My hat is off to Jason Castro for his unfailing courtesy to these jerks. Never once have I heard him accuse or point a finger. What a true gentleman and a real talent.

Well, I thought Archie didn’t say he signed with Jive, but that there was talk of that as a possibility. He wasn’t sure himself. No confirmations yet but oh what a feeling!

It was very nice of David to say that about Syesha, but after hearing Music of the Night, Billie Jean, and others, I don’t think he’s that far off from Syesha vocally. That’s the beauty of Cook – he’s a rocker, but he also has a lot of training, control and technique. But, it was very kind and unassuming of him to say that.

Larry King is an institution, but I have to say this was one of the lamest interviews on HIS part. To just keep asking them all what they thought of the others was utterly ridiculous! Could he, or his writers, have come up with more probing or interesting questions?? To their credit, the AIs were very charming and did extremely well with what they were handed. LK could have at least TRIED to learn their names, no?

Jason Castro is so much more than what you saw on TV, trust me.

The Dallas Morning News posted a burb Friday about a parade for Jason Castro in Rockwall,followed by a mini concert. They gave the date as “Thursday”. I’m assuming that is this coming Thursday, May 29? Surely I didn’t miss it? Can anyone verify?

The LK interview was great. The two Davids were understandably a bit more subdued last night. They both look wiped.

Archie’s getting better with interviews, that’s for sure. It’s usually his quirky remarks though that make for good laughs. I hope they don’t ‘perfect’ him too much. I love reading peoples’ comments over the past fews days on various boards. He’s gained a new legion of fans. Some that may not have been on board with his performances have certainly now been caught up by his charm and graciousness…and that sense of humor he’s been hiding from us. You just can’t help but love him. I’m looking forward to some hilarious banter between the two Davids on LK on Monday.

AWWW our Archie is such a delish!! and all of them are just a breath of fresh air. Syesha is such a lady, Jason is super magical and unique, the more I see them and hear, the more I realize that they are indeed the best group on AI ever. Love how LK seems to be loving our little David, making him feel at home and constantly calling him “Archie”…I know for sure from now on until the end of AI (2 or 3 more seasons max?) all we will hear will be : remember “The Davids?” from the judges…move over Kelly…these two will be mentioned for years to come!! I read somewhere on the idol fox boards.”Archie won the finale, Cook won the season”, to me, Archie is the “World Idol”

AHHHH….>Archy, always bringing the awkward. lol And the laughs. I saw this and I LOL’d HARD. He is too awkward. It can be enduring, but he needs to learn to talk without hysterically laughing. Its cool though. I like him for it. But….its just funny.

Jason presents himself very well in interviews post-idol. Perhaps, it was the AI editing that crafted a somewhat skewed characterization of this contestant who actually is well-spoken & grounded & remarkably comfortable whether 1 on 1 or in group settings.

David Cook is admittedly awesome & then he extends respect & admiration to fellow contestants admitting the major talent of Syesha, for example. That was a true artist assessing another true artist. I am so proud that he won & AI is fortunate to have this total talent package representing them this year!

Thanks Rickey for posting this video since I missed it on TV. Jason was very articulate and easy going but very well spoken. But then when Jason was at the children’s Hospital in New York singing for the sick kids and other people Jason led the whole thing and played and sang beautifully. He really is a good speaker. He really didn’t even appear to be nervous. He’s just a very talented and sweet guy.

I think that Ryan on the finale show said something like trying to get interviews from Jason is like pulling teeth with a nail just to cover up why Jason wasn’t given a lot of exposure or interviews and such. Once they knew Jason wasn’t going anywhere Idol did all they could to get him off the show it seems. But we love Jason and Idol was wrong in there being the biggest jerks to Jason. I mean what did he ever do to them.

Does anybody else out there wonder where Michael Johns was for both Larry King Live Shows, why he wasn’t with the rest of the idols? He was very vague to Larry K. each time he was asked, and gave the same answer over and over again…I bet there was no “gig.” I’ll tell you, big ego, if that’s what it is, is not a good thing sometimes…

Hope someone out there got some film of Jason and his thousands of fans who turned out to welcome him home to Rockwall, TX on Thursday. FOX news covered it very well in spite of the high speed chase going on in DFW being covered live by all the news services. Jason was very humble when given the keys to the city and when asked how he remained so calm and true to himself on AI said “I always try to find the joy in every situation and not let it affect me. Also I’m very strong in my faith.” Nice answer Jason, no wonder everyone in Texas loves you so much! Then he sang 3 songs for his adoring fans. Thanks Jason.

Thanks Donna for all the film of Jason coming home to Texas. He rode down the main drag in Rockwall in a red convertible with his sister, Jackie, and his brother, waving to his cheering fans. Then he arrived at the marina on Lake Ray Hubbard and next time we saw him he was arriving at the Harbor ampitheater on board a 60ft yacht being greeted by over 4000 screaming fans. The inlet was covered with sailboats and watercraft all singing along with him, it was magical. Rockwall is just East of Dallas by 20 miles, so, yeah, Donna, Houston is about 450 miles South of DFW. But there were fans there to greet Jason from all over the US. He is so dear to us Texans, and everyone else too.
