Ooo, Rickey, I see you’ve come around to my way of thinking! Sy IS going to knock out one of the Davids because she was anointed the winner (unbeknownst to us) was back at top 24. It’s all so transparent. AI gave Jason’s spot to Sy.

#2 You are correct! A David will leave on Wed. My guess is Cookie and we’ll come down to our least likely imagined finale: Archie & Sy.

Back to you, archieangel, please everyone remember:

1- Ryan’s overly pregnant pause. He says, “America has voted and decided that [unbelievably long pregnant pause] Syesha, you’re in the top 3.”

2- Ryan never, ever said Jason had the fewest votes. He never said Sy had more votes.

3- We were led to the assumption that 1MM votes separated Sy, DC, DA. That was never announced.

4- And what 3 of the final 4 were actually #1 at some point in any of the given weeks? Are we now supposed to conclude Sy, DC, DA? No way, Sy. Jason the Sensation had to have been #1 at least once.

I will never believe Syesha had more votes than Jason. Jason’s fan base is huge. We did not let him down. AI just was not going to let him continue on after he took on the great AI machine.

Everyone get ready. Syesha will be this year’s American Idol.

I’m not sure if I’m a fanaesha or not…but I have only voted twice…

1. Top 24 I voted for DA
2. Top 4 I voted 20 times for Syesha

But, not because she cried, acted sexed-up, nor belted a big diva note….I predicted a few weeks ago…back when MJ was voted off that Sy seemed like she might make it to the Top 4 or possibly the Top 3…and she has.

I think she’s done it by correcting what she was doing wrong…not having any personality and singing very karaokeish.

I voted this past week for Sy only…because she was VERY entertaining. Her vocals weren’t the strongest…but she accentuated what she does best and that is be entertaining by injecting her performance with lots of personality.

The fact that she cried, or looked beautiful & sexy, or hit a big note had NOTHING to do with why I voted for her. I just thought she had improved the most, injected her performance with lots of entertaining personality…and had done better than who I thought would be in 3rd place (Jason Castro).

Jason’s lackluster performance and flubbing of his lyrics just made it much easier to pick Sy over him. She was deserving to be around one more week (in my opinion) over Jason. He has no physical appeal to me (I’m not mesmerized by his blue eyes, and skin-tight jeans) so when he screws up and under-performs…I have no reason to give him a sympathy vote. Millions of other viewers probably felt the same way…thus he’s off the show and Sy is still there.

One more comment about dancing…

It may not have been discussed much since Sy’s fans aren’t very visible on blogs etc…but I think her infusion of dance and movement around the stage has been more than any other contestant on AI.

She is definitely not the first to dance…I can vividly recall Blake and Sanjaya doing a couple of dance moves last year…and Kat McPhee did a couple of moves on stage…and definitely the “leggy” Ms Haley Scarneto (spelling?) did some…but again, I can’t remember anyone doing as much dancing as Sy has done.

During Broadway week when she started out on top of the piano was good with her and the band conductor doing a little tête-à-tête dance…but the PROUD MARY performance went even further with her dancing with two of the band members and Sy doing the signature patented Tina moves.

That is what I found entertaining…what she lacked in vocal ability…she made up for by giving a very entertaining performance. And UNLIKE Randy, I though “A Change Gonna Come” had enough of Sy’s personal inflections to contemporize the song to fit what it meant to her without destroying the melody eveyone is so familiar with.

That’s why she deserved the #3 spot (again, in my opinion)…and that’s why I pulled my voting finger out of retirement to give her a few calls.

I would suggest all the real Syesha fans to not go to this website any longer, because these attacks are really verging on personal,I wonder how long it took rickey too come up with this strategy to humiliate Syesha. I think sensible people want a website that is not biased and lets the people do the dissemting, if it wants to be a reputable AI website. Instead of tabloid fodder. AS I have stated before and few people fail to realize is syesha is original every black female singer is not a diva, why use that term? Is she the best ever? no but she deserves the all the credit because unlike Brooke and Jason she never, forgot the words, and in the last couple of weeks she never had a really bad performance, thats stepping up to the plate. People will say, oh this is just a joke, but if he were talking about “Archie” every 40 year old mom would be up in arms. Once again I suggest true Syesha fans not use this website anymore. Ricki is no svengali, or someone who can do something we can all do.And remember to vote for Syesha so her and DC can rock it out in the finale.

1. When a person has an opinion that differs from yours, it doesn’t mean that they are wrong. What is your objective here? To show the few of us who support Syesha that we are misguided in doing so? Well thank you for your input, but I have no problem being left of center and will support whomever I prefer, regardless of what other people think.

2. American Idol is just a television program. A cash cow. A vulgar display of corporate greed. I don’t believe for one minute that the show is on the up and up — nothing with that much money at stake ever is — so I don’t take it that seriously. It’s a fun distraction from the rigors and stresses of everyday life, you know? It’s supposed to be fun anyway….

3. It doesn’t matter who wins…AI is great exposure.

As stated before, I just want to have fun with it you know. I don’t care why Rickey is posting these threads, honestly, I was just going to make something positive of it regardless. But if every time we get a little corner of Rickey.org to support Sy, we’re going to get flamed and ridiculed for it, I’d just as soon move back over to VFTW where I can say what I REALLY want to say to you people. Seriously, who would have predicted that we’d be seeing Syesha’s 300 fans cheering for her as she visited her hometown, and not Michael’s/Carly’s/Brooke’s/Jason’s? They probably had to offer free pizza and soda for her hometown turnout. Anyone remember Kat’s hometown visit? It was also a “private” affair. They had it at her high school, and, there were probably around 150 there. The camera angles panned it to look like more, but, it was a very small turnout compared to Elliott and Taylors. It will be interesting to see what happens with the top 3. Although I won’t be watching or voting, I can catch up on the blogs. Will Syesha cry again? Will Syesha give us a BLT performance? Will she be running for vice president on the Obama ticket? So much drama and suspense.
