Something off about Syesha and I can’t point out what it is. Maybe because there are many, many, girls with her kind of voice and her choice of music style out there that it becomes so…boring.

Syesha was my favorite of the night! I’m glad she brought the sass…but is it too little too late? Maybe.

She was the best of the show tonight. She showed off her range and even incoherant Paula got it right about her potential. I guess I am not hearing these voices that sound like her, cause she doesn’t sound like Beyonce, Mary J, Rihanna, or Alicia. Who are these sound alikes?

Maybe not to little, to late. I’m starting to see similarities between Syesha and Vonzell from season 4, and Elliot fron season 5. Not style, but fan support. I honestly think she has a chance to make top 3.

She reminds me of Katharine from Season 5. Beautiful girl, lovely tone in her lower register, a bit shrill in the high notes.

And just like Kat, she’s more of an actress/singer, than a singer with real direction.

I feel like Syesha is making more of an effort to connect with the audience. Her vocals sounded really good tonight, too.

I am still not digging her performances at all.

Agree with Lex : “And just like Kat, she’s more of an actress/singer, than a singer with real direction.”

If you try not to be distracted by the first song’s really gorgeous arrangement, you realise that her voice was not that strong afterall.

And second song… nah… But I guess she’s safe. sigh…

I thought Syesha did a great job last night, and I hope she doesn’t go home tonight. I want Brooke to go home because she is not improving in any way. She looks like she wants to either cry or argue with the judges, and I’m just tired of her. I think Syesha should stay at least another week. I really like it when Syesha brings her acting into the performance with her. She needs to embrace it. I almost sense that she is afraid of overacting, but I really believe that it enhances her performances dramatically. I want to see more since her ALW performance last week.

This comment has got to be the dumbest comment I have heard in a long time! I wouldn’t buy Jordin or Leona’s music because it is strictly pop and not my cup of tea. I like R&B and niether of them would get played on any R&B station I listen to. That being said, Syesha was the best of the night
and has been for a long time now.

I really liked her performances tonight and so did my sis, so much that she voted for her instead of David Archuleta tonight… and that’s a first! lol A weird thing to note though is that when I called from my cell phone I kept getting busy signals but when I called from my house phone I kept getting through every time… Does anyone know why that is? I found it very weird.

I can’t say Syesha gave bad performances, or even the worst of the night. But when people talk about her winning I cringe. I would never buy her CD and “Yesterday” is the only iTune I’ve been even remotely tempted to buy. 3 of the other 4 contestants are already in my iTunes and Archie could be if he sang more contemporary songs (and if he and DCook, my fave, weren’t neck-and-neck! ).

Syesha is made for Broadway or some other type of actress-singing-model career – not mainstream radio, imo.

I want to add that I thought Syesha looked very pretty last night. She did a good job singing, and I believe she HAS TO use her acting in her performances or they would be dead. She really livens up when she uses expressions on her face and uses her body to accentuate the music. This will be the only thing to keep her in the contest. Her voice is good, not great. When you add the acting, it helps a lot. I personally would much rather watch her than Brooke, and sometimes Jason. I think Jason is doing a bangup job considering all the judges keep putting him down. It’s so unfair! David Cook for the win, though!

Funny Simon, doing reverse psychology so maybe Syesha won’t get sent home like Carly after you praiser her peformance last week. You know Syesha did great on both songs. Whatever Simon!
