She sang that right to her target audiance. She was brilliant and the judges called her on it, at least Paula and Simon did. She keeps singing to the country music fans, she may be the last girl standing.

Okay, it was good…but as evidenced just by the whopping FOUR comments here so far…Kristy just doesn’t have that many fans. Or at least not ones that visit rickey.org. LOL Please, we need to be rid of her, but I fear Rickey is right about Carly…Kristy was totally pimped this week!

I wouldn’t say she was pimped. The judges complemented her on playing the fanbase game. She should have been gone long ago, but now she’s found her fanbase and is playing to them for all she’s worth.

Gah, she’s getting better, and it hurts me physically to admit it! She’s whiny though, and that won’t change. I just don’t like her…or her voice. Who is voting for her????

I doubt anyone would agree with me, but this was my favorite performance of the whole night (and I love DC). I’m a country music fan and she did a great country slant to it. She keeps getting better every week. Go KLC!!

I think she is gaining fans every week. I think, that the producers want Brooke and Carly and even Syesha before keeping Kristy. I hope I am wrong but we’ll see. I loved Jason tonight too!

I am a R&B fan mostly but haven’t gotten anything original from Syesha. Who does she sound like? Whitney? Fantasia? Mariah? I can’t distinguish her own sound.

Ahhh, this is a first: Kristy getting props on Rickey.org!! Well, I think she is relaxing on stage and enjoying herself and it shows not only in her vocals, but in the way she interacts with the audience. I liked her performance this week. It was kind of a throwback to a big band performance. And she looked lovely, as usual.

Despite the little pitchy in the first to mid section, where the band seems a little slow to me, the mid to end is really very good. She reminds me of a throwback to Patsy Cline. I still think she has improved the most, is connecting with the audience and is the most under rated contestant left. Yes, I am still upset that Alexandrea went home, given the performances that went through. I was prepared to not like her because of this. She has made me a believer!

Still think Alex was robbed.

She has found her niche and is starting to stay true to it. This could be her first country single. I thought she did an excellent job presenting herself.

She does better every week and in fact has a soothing lovely voice. I have always liked her, better than Brooke or even Carly. Christie sings effortlessly, like Syesha as well. Those are my two top girls.

Kristy’s mistake was not coming out with country songs from the beginning. Then she over-did it with that awful rendition of 8 Days a Week. Those things brought a negative first impression. She definitely has been making better song choices and doing a great job with the vocals. For me, she’s much easier on the ears than Carly. It’s been an up hill struggle to shake those first impressions, but she’s doing a great job. I agree that she will be the last female standing and deservedly so.
