American Idol Gives Back

The American Idol 7 contestants (with Lacie Schwimmer and Travis Wall from So You Think You Can Dance in the background) at the Idol Gives Back taping over the weekend.

Jason Castro and Kristy Lee Cook are hot. David Cook is intense. Someone needs to contribute to the Carly Smithson and Brooke White wardrobe charity funds. OMG, Carly! Iterations of that fail outfit is just not working for me now. I really hope you wear a dress on Andrew Lloyd Webber Broadway night.

Well I want to give a shout out to Syesha — geez, that girl gets no love whatsoever….her look is very modern.
As for Carly, at least give her credit for trying, but it’s still BLACK….she needs to lighten it up a bit and get one of Idol stylists to help her.

Positives: everyone except the ones listed in the negative column look great (or at least presentable!) Jason and DCook look especially well put-together (and Syesha, but isn’t that a foregone conclusion? That girl always looks great!)

Carly looks just fine. Too bad though she doesn’t wear longer sleeves, as I think those tatoo’s really take away from her and any outfit she wears.
But DARN, what the heck is Brook wearing. She looks like she is getting ready for PE class back ing the 60’s! However,she does seem to be an old soul from back then.
As far is where is David A.’s pic, his was the first one, as usual, on the previous page.
Of course David C. looks great and I am sure is singing his heart out. Go Cookie…

The reason why Jason’s thighs look smaller is because have you seen his pants?!? It is tighter than Danny Norriega’s pant when he sang Tainted Love.

Are the stylists on AI just trying to get under Simon’s nerves or what? He critized Carly last week for her costume, but this is even worse. I sometimes think they do it just to hear what he’ll say next. Good grief! They need to dress this girl better and cover up her arms. Everyone’s getting tired of seeing the tat.

And what the heck is that on Brook? She looks like she’s dressed to go back to her nanny job and play with the kids. This should be an eloquent night as it is a fundraiser people! It would have been nice to see all the girls in ballroom dresses for at least one night! They need to follow Carrie Underwood’s example. Man she’s gorgeous in her gown!

Jason is dressed well for him. The outfit emphasizes his small waist without making him look scrawny.

Michael Johns must have borrowed Archuleta’s jacket. That’s just too short and small for him! It makes him look fat.

I don’t get Carly’s style. It doesn’t work for me.

There are some really beautiful pictures of Carly in the all-white suit. She looks great in brighter colors, and it would serve her better to wear long sleeves once in a while. But that’s MY preference. She has every right to feel comfortable and proud of who she is and reflect that in her clothing. I feel so alone in here being a Carly fan. I really like all the idols this year and I keep hoping a little Carly love will happen once in a while.
