I have a bad feeling about tonite:( I think most of these kids are going to c r a p all over the Lennon/McCarney songbook. Who does an Earth Wind & Fire version of one of these songs??? Give me a break.

I am so happy that it’s American Idol night!

Syesha opened up the show nicely with mostly controlled vocals, maybe a little pitchiness in places, but she settled down. Not my favorite song; don’t like the Beatles or Earth, Wind & Fire versions. But she did a good job & really did look lovely. I like her hair also!

She’s just so.. BLAH.
She’s the safe R&B diva that doesn’t do anything different to anything.
Sure she can belt out a note here and there, but who cares.
She’s just so… so…….MEH.

I thought she was good! Yeah, she was pitchy, but Im going to give the singers a pass tonight. The way they set up the band is NOT nice to singers, being that they aren’t allowed to use an ear piece, and having your pitch reference be ABOVE you would be interesting for sure. It IS hard to really LOVE syesha vocally, because she does not compare to any of the “three divas” from season 3, or even vonzell from season 4.
