I don’t know why this girl got a pimp spot, but she’s in the rumored Top 24 so we’re posting. I think it’s because for some reason, one of the producers thought the “death in the family” theme — for many contestants this year — was a good idea. Not really. It’s kinda depressing. (Surviving car accidents, like Amanda Overymyer, now that’s a riveting angle for TV).

Oh yeah, here’s Asia’H Epperson in Hollywood Week, who unfortunately appears as though she is trying to capitalize on personal tragedy to get voter sympathy. (Not her fault, the producers could have ignored this entirely instead of playing it up as “Asia’H Epperson’s American Idol story”.)

In fairness to Asia’H Epperson, I think she’s really cute. Something I didn’t see the first time we saw her on American Idol. And she did sing well and could very well go Top 12.

Oh my! The best performance of the show, as far as I’m concerned! I liked her audition enought, but I didn’t care about her one way or the other until tonight. I also hadn’t realized she was in the Top 24 spoliers. This thrills me to no end.

I thought she was really good. I got chills when she started to sing the “I’m going down” part. She has a really nice sound to her voice.

Very cute – and I like her voice – it seems unique (kinda raspy?). But, I’m kinda confused. What kind of singer is she? She auditioned with country and I don’t know this song at all. I look forward to hearing more from her! I hope she finds her niche.

Very good audition. She has a good voice & maintained control & pacing with that Rose Royce classic. I think she sparkled.

Asia’h Epperson is probably one of the best three vocalist among the girls. I have no doubt in my mind Asia’h will make the top 6.

I think anyone who enters a singing competition three days after their parent has passed away in a tragic accident is disgraceful. You are kidding yourself if you actually believe her deceased father’s true ambition for Asia’h Epperson was to compete in the television series, American Idol. Typically, when a loved one dies, it incites some kind of self-reflection of what is truly important in life, which is family and everything else that is irrelevant, such as narcissistic, attention-seeking behavior, should diminish in importance. For crying out loud – who does that?
