Syesha Mercado American Idol

The One: Making a Star’s Syesha Mercado had a dramatic Hollywood Week on American Idol.

After surviving the first couple of days even if she lost her voice, Syesha Mercado sings “Chain of Fools” which she incidentally sang on The One: Making a Star. Here’s the clip of Syesha Mercado on The One. She sounded better on American Idol.

I still don’t at OOOOO when watching her. She’s gorgeous and WOW what a body, but… I dunno.. I’m just not really that impressed with her voice.
She can sing, no doubt about that, but it doesn’t inspire.

Sorry, but as far as I’m concerned, she embodies everything I think is wrong with American Idol: blandness, oversinging oversung karaoke songs, a lack of even a semblance of originality, etc….

I agree about the oversinging. Some parts she sounds good, other parts just sound off and weird. The only performance so far that I’ve seen of hers that I liked was the last one. Which counted the most, lol.

She needs to actually sing. She definitely looks the part. But, that power yelling turns me off to her voice.

I agree with the above poster that she’s having vocal cord or laryngitis problems, whatever, due to over singing. She has a pretty voice & needs to make certain that the 1st song she chooses next week is a dime. And please – don’t ’scream’ it out!
