This audition session is shaping up to be quite hilarious and reminds me of the Idol of old. I love the So. Carolina show. Aretha was battle ready.

I love Jeffrey! He works with me and he always makes us laugh at work. He is soooo talented. He started a choir at our job. He leads it very well. He is already a star in our eyes.

I thought they were hilarious! Even though the guy had small pitch problems here and there, he was still pretty good. So was his sister for that matter.
I really hope he does well! With alot of the wet blankets we had last season, we need some humor this time around.

I loved them. They were real and funny and I think, even if they’d been told no, they would have still been grateful for the chance. They both seem like good people.

I was rather irritated though with Simon’s comment about how he didn’t like the end of the song because they added their own style. He said that during a couple of the auditions and I kept thinking “Isn’t that one of the MAIN things they are always telling the Idols is to add their own style?” Maybe they don’t like that so much in auditions but I liked it. The guy whose wife had just given birth got that reaction from Simon as well and I liked his voice and, uh, falsettos are a big reason Ace Young made it as far as he did. They were and still are his signature. I like them when the guy does them correctly, and I thought this guy – can’t remember his name – was good.

I think Simon’s comment was that it was “slightly inappropriate at the end, but good.” With his twisted mind, he was referring to the “romantic” holding of hands to end the song when they are actually brother and sister. I don’t think he was protesting the style of the song.

They had nice harmony. But, I agree with the judges. Jeffery is better than Michelle.

Yeah! Some fun! Last Idols have been marred by the “I am too serious for my own good,” and that’s counting the judges as well. Say what people want about Sanjaya, he brought an element of fun and freshness to a dying show. So go Jeffrey, pump some life into this old bag!
