What happened to Val???

Knots Landing stars Joan Van Ark and Donna Mills taped an episode for Nip/Tuck this week:

Hollywood reporter Janet Charlton writes that the two made work for hair, makeup and the lighting department.

Said Janet: “There was endless hair and makeup preparation, and a setsider noted that the only things rail-thin Joan consumed all day were several glasses of water with honey and one banana. But most frustrating was the fact that it took FOUR hours to light Joan to her complete satisfaction. That’s longer than it takes to have a facelift AND liposuction.”

I’m going to have to watch Nip/Tuck again just to see how Joan Van Ark did. Valene!!!

Okay, I’m confused is this for Nip/Tuck or is that really what she looks like because if that’s all her then DAMN. As soon as I scrolled down and saw her face, my jaw dropped, seriously how can someone do that themselves?

I’m thinking i do not want to see her without makeup if this is how she looks with it on. Her skin is such a ghastly color–what happened? Bleached it?
Really there must be a gracefully way of aging without the surgery.

OMG!!! That grayish hue to her skin around her mouth and nose reminded me of how a corpse looks once rigor mortis sets in and the body starts decomposing. Not to be morbid, but it’s the truth!! She looks like she is at death’s door….what a shame.

My eyes!!! Oh wait…that’s HER eyes. What on earth can she be thinking with that weird eye make-up, not to mention the ghostly hue of her skin? If she thinks she looks good, then I feel sorry for her.

Oh no! GAAAHH, Valene!!

My gay bff and I practically WORSHIP Valene Ewing and her always-teetering-on-a-nervous-breakdown self. We even do a very special Valene greeting dance whenever we see each other. This is such a sad day in the cul de sac.

I just googled some old shots of JVA, because I could not recognize her. Oh my. What plastic surgeon would be willing to take money to do that to someone? Even if they want it, isn’t there a limit? Or something about ethical treatment, because that woman has issues!

When will these celebrities learn it’s just better to age gracefully, and look natural? They have definitely not perfected the “art” of plastic surgery because these people all look like freaks!
