Ok, when was this done? Is this part of American Idol or America’s best band? Is the Clark guy part of the Clarks that are trying to win America’s Best Band?

I remember this! And I remember thinking, “Wow! Carrie Underwood has a smokin hot violinist!”

Who knew?! I never put it together that Ashley Clark was her violinist!

You know some people are just blessed with WAY too much. Guitarist, violinist, (who knows what other musical instruments) gorgeous looks, and a hot name…I mean “Ashley?” The name just melts in your mouth, doesn’t it?

Chicago – This is from the results night on American Idol (Top 16 Week). Carrie returned to promote her new single and brought her violinist who just happened to be Ashley Clark. Yes, the same Ashley on America’s Next Top Band. Of course, back then we didn’t think anything of him… except maybe, as jamied said, that he was hot.

Who cares who found them! I saw this last night and went NUTS! Clark Brothers for the win. Yes, he is hot and he plays a dam* good violin! Can you imagine how violins are now going to sell? It is cool to be a violinist! Especially, when you look like smokin hot Ashley and tear up the strings! WOOHOOOO!

As long as you don’t have a current contract, you can be a contestant. Same rules applied to American Idol, you know Jordin performed with Michael Smith (and had a record), Melinda with the Winans I believe.

Sixwire had a contract – it didn’t work out and are currently not contracted.

Ashley & some of his brothers had a band called the Clark Family Experience. They did have a country cd out and a single called “Meanwhile Back At The Ranch.” And Sixwire also had a cd & single out. Their single was called “Look At Me Now.”
Obviously there is no rule against the bands having previous record contracts or else they wouldn’t allow the Clark Brothers & Sixwire. The rule is probably that they can’t currently have a contract.

I was fortunate enough to meet Ashley when he was in Carrie’s band. He’s a great guy and him & his brothers are so talented.
