Marie Osmond

Marie Osmond and Jonathan Roberts dance the Samba on Dancing with the Stars

And then … Marie Osmond fainted! On live television! The drama! OMG — ABC had to cut to commercial.

She looked OK later when she woke up, but Marie Osmond was clearly winded. She might be working too hard. I didn’t know ballroom dancing could be a dangerous sport (or Marie just has a medical condition not suited for the grueling weekly dances).

Just wanted to say what a great job you do and I always read your website. This is my first time to post here.

I guess there was some laughter in the audience when she fainted, people must have initially thought she was just doing that on purpose being the comedian she is. But she really seems to work so hard. Best of luck to her!

I thought she was just fooling around, too, and was expecting her to pop back up all goofy and bubbly like she always is. I’m so glad she’s okay. I think she’s absolutely adorable!

OMG – I thought Marie had a heart attack! No one rushed to her side, I saw one of the judges stand up but I mean come on, get help for her! I’m happy she is ok – I think traveling, performing, and practicing her routine wore her out. You could tell she was breathing hard and couldn’t get air.
I hope she doesn’t get voted off but everyone had strong performances, so we’ll see.

I’m pleased that Marie is o.k. after the faint/fall. I thought her routine had more energy than Mark & Helio & that she doesn’t deserve to exit before Mark, definitely!

oh my. i’m glad to hear that she is okay.

I’m a long time reader of your blog. Want to thank you for posting all that you do. I need to watch something else other than what is on tv right now (i’m in so cal surrounded by fire really). Can’t wait to see the rest of the dances, since we probably won’t be seeing this episode tonite.

I hope she does get some more medical treatment after the show. She should go to the hospital just in case it’s something more than she thinks. And I hope she sticks around longer too, because she’s a joy to watch. (although her performance tonight was off… maybe it was because she wasn’t feeling well, thus the fainting)

It’s the Heather Mills fall down curse!!! I’m kidding. I’m glad she’s okay. That looked scary. I bet they’ll find a way to incorporate that into their next dance.

This show is so dramatic — last year it was Sarah Evans and her divorce…and then there was Master P not wanting to be on the show…and Jerry Springer begging to be voted off….it was a slight medical condition, that’s all, but she’s a real trouper.

I cannot believe I tuned in late tonigh so I had no idea this happened until I read it here on Rickey’s. {} Oh my. Am I missing something? She went down hard and there is a horrible silence where NO ONE is doing anything for her. Where was a medic? Security? The woman could have been dying. Thank goodness she seemed to have come back nicely after the break but that is a separate issue. Where was the doctor in the house? Live or not, I don’t care. Something fatal could have happened. Don’t just stand there and stare at her limp body on the floor. That was frightening to watch.

I also am glad that Marie was okay. Hopefully it was exhaustion from all the hard work practicing and dancing. I am also surprised that a lot more people didn’t rush to her side to make sure she was okay. I always liked Marie, she dances beter each week. She’s funny and is just a doll.

Thanks for the video Rickey since I missed about 45 minutes of the show.
