Agreed, agreed! Jordin nailed the last two songs, even though I still Blake got cheated because that song was NOT for him.

Anyone else a little bit annoyed by her tears? A little contrived? Or even assumptuous, like she knew she’s won this thing (even though, yea, she probably has, but it’s a bit haughty, no???)

zabasearch says Blake is currently trending as winner. Boo-yah! Last week zabasearch said Jordin was going to win. And btw…. is anyone else as giddy to see Chris Daughtry as I am?!

Congrats to both Jordin and Blake. This is the first final where I’d be happy either way.

I actually liked all of Jordin’s performance tonight. I even liked her ‘fighter’. And I don’t think she’s faking. We really do not know what Jordin is really thinking so we should stop assuming that she’s faking.. No one can please everyone. so, yeah.

I’d like Jordin to win. Blake was good, but I liked his YGLABN the first time he sang it.

Okay, I’ve been lurking here for a long time. And I have to say this is a great site Rickey :) …Also, I think the producers of Idol already decided to have Jordin the front runner a long time ago. Don’t get me wrong I’m happy she will most likely win American Idol this year. But at least the judges could have down played the over pimping of her it was like they were in overdrive tonight.

In odd way there extreme pimping kind of took away from her last song tonight for me.

Jordin absolutely knocked out Blake with the last song! Her voice tonight was not really that strong as before but it’s still better than Blake.

Why was the finish to Jordin’s final song different in the “recap” than it was just two minutes prior? People with DVRs please confirm this.

I dont think Jordin was faking her tears at all. A few times this season shes cried after her performances, she just seems to be very passionate and emotional! i love her and this competition should not even be close. Jordin is in a whole nother league than blake is. His voice is mediocre at best! Please dont vote just cuz he is ‘cute’! Jordin deserves this by a mile and honestly blake shouldnt even be in the finale, it should be melinda and jordin then that would have been a real competition!

ok i’m going to give credits to jordin for the last song. that was amazing. however, i still want blake to win so she’d be shocked. crying like that? what was she thinking? thinks she going to win already.

The recap is always the dress rehearsal before the show.

The whole process makes me want to hold my nose. The only thing missing at the end of Jordin’s last song was the confetti shower. (Yeah I watched Kelly Clarkson’s results show on Ricky last week!) I know it’s not fair, but my dislike of her has been exacerbated by the “flagrant pimping” (DJ Ryce) of her throughout the last several weeks.

    ugh.

Thanks for the clarification, Rickey (props on the blog, btw).

She seemed to be crying at dress rehearsal as well then — although not as much.

And actually, I don’t care about that. I’m more concerned that the recaps are not even from the actual live performances. Seems fishy.

SuperChunk, it has always been like that. Even Carrie’s season, Carrie’s last note on Angels brought me here (during the live one), she was in tears. But in the recap, she was not. Nothing wrong with that.

It has always been like that.

i dont see how they are ‘pimping’ jordin at all. If anything it seems to me they are giving Blake good props when he sounds terrible to me (well at least Paula is but i guess she always does with the boys)

i thought Blakes second performance (maroon 5 song) was terrible!! Was it just me? He sounded way off key to me thats why i was very surprised he got decent remarks from teh judges. it baffled me!!

I don’t think Jordin’s tears are fake. I think that letting her emotions get the best of her when it is not really warranted has become a bad habit. Crying just because you think you sang well or because the judges were kind to you seems self-indulgent at best, and manipulative at worst. And for goodness sake, in the finale, if you’re gonna cry, wait til they crown you the winner. Otherwise it seems presumptuous. She’ll learn all this in time, just not in time for American Idol.

That last song would have sounded a lot, lot, lot better if MELINDA sang it.

Jordan was flat in singing the whole first part. And what was with the tears, is she that confident that she had it in the bag?????
