Paris Bennett and Kevin Covais — Let Me Rap

Paris Bennett

Still reeling from Paris Bennett‘s comments that Teen Pop Sensation Sanjaya Malakar on American Idol is a joke, Rickey presents to you the Paris Bennett comedy CD coming out next week on May 8:

All Hail the Princess
— Bow down.

I’m So Hot (Interlude)

Let Me Rap

That sound of course was Kevin Covais singing in falsetto.

The last song with Ann Nesby and Jamecia Bennett, where they profess their grand-and-motherly love to each was also a bit much.

More sample clips at the Paris Bennett website

Sorry, did I just trash Paris’ new CD? Well, one song, “Can’t Control Myself” is ok, so if you’re still interested:

I really don’t understand why Paris wants to be Beyonce when it sounds like she’s never been inside a club in her entire life.

You know I didn’t watch AI the first year. Got into it the second and third and then didn’t bother again.

This year I decided to watch the tryouts just for a laugh and then got hooked in because of the Sanjaya story. It fascinated me why this kid with charm, looks and IMO a pretty nice voice was so harshly treated by the judges and then by the media. Then I got Sanjaya’d. I really like him.

So long story short, I have no idea who this Paris person is. But plenty of people around the world who have no idea who else is on AI or who has ever been on AI know who Sanjaya is.

What p.o s some people like some excontestents is that they have looks, they have charm and they have pretty nice voices but they aren’t sensations. That’s the mystery of people like Sanjaya.

Doncha think if they coulda bottled IT factor they woulda by now?

OMG. Is this a joke? I’m laughing so hard… I can’t breathe. That was hilarious. The Chicken Little rap… there are no words. Is that really her album? LOL. The nerve of her to call our Sanjy a joke. And she calls herself “Princess P”? For real? ROFL.

Haha..Can’t believe they teamed up together?? I used to love Paris because of her voice and seemingly fun personality in AI5 but after her remarks on my fave papaya Sanjaya, she, well doesn’t seem as nice anymore!(Maybe I’m a little protective of Sanj.)

This is exactly what I expected from Paris. As big as her voice was/is, she was never any more with a child. I fully expect for children to force their parents to buy it. Your trash is always someone else’s treasure.

It sounds juvenile and probably something she wrote. Her grandmom, Ann Nesby, is a top singer and has worked with Jimmy Jam…and I feel like this, if your grandmom can’t get you a record contract or at least singing background with Jimmy Jam & Terry, then that tells you something right there. She’s not ALL THAT. Although I liked her on Idol.
This reminds me – it’s interesting to see where all the bottom 5 Idols are. Mainly they’re just boy band and backup singers, actually, none of them are really ‘stars’, and it will be interesting to see where Jennifer Hudson winds up in 5 years.
I consider myself a Fanjaya, but you know, he’s got a long road to walk and let’s cross our fingers he’s got a good agent.

    Hi Rickey,

All I gotta say is Princess P reminds me of Princess Peach from the Super Mario Bros. Game, and that hideous song Let me Rap sounds like one of the sound effects in the game. I can imagine Kevin as Luigi for some reason…

Terrible music from a terrible person. I can’t believe this little witch had the nerve to talk mess about Sanjaya. Paris, I really hope karma comes to bite you in the ***! Wasn’t your buddy Kevin receiving the same harsh comments Sanjaya did? Guess what Paris: your CD is a joke! Maybe if you were well known Jay Leno or David Letterman would give you the pleasure of making fun of it on national television but guess what? Nobody remembers you anymore nor do they care!

Um. So putting the Sanjaya thing aside, I actually didn’t think the music and the beats were half bad.

The lyrics and the rapping however .. are a completely different story. :x

Hey Rickey, thanks for that title :) But honestly, show business is hard business. You got to kiss a lot of frogs to make it, that’s why I am so concerned about jennifer and Sanjaya. Jennifer is Christian and has high morals. Sanjaya is an innocent. Paris? Just goes to show you she’s having a rough time getting the attention of producers and agents. I thought by now she and Lisa Tucker(a cutey and really good singer) would be with Disney at the least. Just calling it like it is.
The last time I saw Kevin C on a talk show, he was going into sports announcement – my how times change!

I can’t believe Paris would even come out with songs like this. Is this a joke, I was expecting her to come out with a mature sound not these stupid pointless songs. Say what you say about the popular girls in the music industry, as pointless as their songs are, those girls still make good songs. Paris’s songs are wack as hell and Paris’s album is going to be wack as hell.

    You Fanjayas are UNBELIEVABLE!

You all should really take a step back from your biased views about Sanjaya and take a real hard look at what others really think of him. Yes, he may be the talk of the town…but in other’s view…he is more the butt of the joke than he is a “sensation”. (and yes, one of his endearing qualities is that Sanjy can laugh at himself, and I DO find that admirable)

It’s amazing how you all turn it around in your heads…he is poked fun at when he returns as an audience member…the rest of the world is laughing AT him…but you see it as the world can’t stop talking about him because he is “wonderful”. :?:

When he turns up on the talk show circuit…you see it as if he was the greatest thing since Jesus Christ…but he is only again famous for being famous…its not about any SINGING talent (in which he WAS in a singing competition)…has he even been asked about a future singing career or record deal in his near future :?:

I do hear comments from Sanjy that states he wants to be in the “entertainment” business…well that could be modeling, acting, singing, personal appearances, etc.

Remember folks, William Hung was/is “famous”, too…and has made millions. Obviously somebody likes him enough to buy his pablem…but I don’t think WillyBoy is going to be the next big thing…he’s just riding the wave of current pop culture…which crashes and eventually disipates into the shore of reality.

I’m not saying its over for Sanjy, but he must come up with something of substance…because without some type of talent or hook, you can’t “sustain” a career in show biz. When your schtick is famous for being famous…then you must maintain that status quo…and continue to do stuff to stay in the public eye…just look at the current crop of no/low talent but popular headline grabbers out there now. The current one being Anna Nicole Smith…even in death…her crazy antics while she was alive have kept her “fame” train rolling down the tracks.

Okay, my flame suit is on…now let me have it cause NOBODY can say ANYTHING not positive (or objective) about Sanjy in this blog without getting clobbered.

BTW, Paris sang live on FOX news the other day…I believe the song she sang was titled “I Will”. It was very good…but have to admit, it sounded nothing like the sample Rickey posted here.

And they did ask her about American Idol and the current contestants…and she said positive things about both topics (including Sanjaya)…but I guess that will go on deaf ears here because its out there now that she trashed Sanjy.

Hopefully what she said (live) is more of her true sentiment than a snippet taken (possibly) out of context.
