Luke Shaffer – Audition – Fall For You

Luke Shaffer auditions for American Idol Season 9 in Boston. He sang “Fall For You” by Secondhand Serenade.

In this video he was harmonizing with fellow auditionee Benjamin Bright.

Luke Shaffer will go far in the competition at least Top 24 for sure. Countless contestants were introduced in a low-key manner like this in the past, and I feel that Luke just followed that trajectory tonight.

    he may end up being pretty good. but this song choice was terrible.

    Yeah, I didn’t like the song choice, but his voice was nice. Has a lot of potential if he picks better songs.

    Everyone critiques his song choice but,

    He’s ok. Doesn’t have much range in his voice and he can’t sing any kind of variety which is crucial to this competition. I have seen him play live a several times. Nice guy but I don’t think he is anything to brag about.

    I totally agree with you- I love Luke Shaffer.
    I have been watching idol and havent seen him in hollywood. do you know if he made it?

    I agree. I LOVE Luke, I hope he makes it, but like Allison said, I haven’t seen him at all in Hollywood week. Did he make it past the cuts tonight?

    He used to live in Bowling Green, Ohio. And I’ve had the pleasure of meeting him before Idol. He’s a great guy. But, sadly, he didn’t make top 24. This is who did:
