What a horrible name for a group. Beelzebub is another name for Satan.
Satan has caused more sorrow, pain, and death than any other individual in the history of the world. He delights in destruction. Satan would like to destroy every person on earth.
How can a group possible expect to be successful? What made me sick was when people like it, essentially, cheering for evil.

Reppin’ Tufts here. And oy vey, it’s just a name, y’all. The Bubs have been around since the ’60s–the name’s tradition, that’s all. They’re just a bunch of guys making instrument noises w/ their voices, not extolling the virtues of Satanism. If it offends you so much, just call them the Bubs like everyone else does.
I’m an atheist. I don’t believe in Satan. And yet, the believers do. Ironic, yeah?
Not really ironic. It’s kind of the point actually. Satan as the Big Bad is pretty central to Christianity- can’t have God if you can’t pit Him against the Forces of Darkness. I’m just baffled that anyone could see Satan in a bunch of college dudes having the time of their lives entertaining people and singing POP SONGS. Good lord. I’m not a believer, and I certainly see evil in this world, but certainly not here. Some people need a reality check.
And I’m already biased, but I hope the Bubs make it to the finale just so I can point and laugh at the Internet crazies clutching at their pearls over a cheesy holiday special.

Any good Christian that knows his way around his/her Bible knows that this name is synonymous with Satan. Picking this name for a group that looks so wholesome is about as ignorant as a marketing agent or collective group of lost souls can get. I feel sorry for them and the (dark) horse they road in on!
